Just curious how many spare sims you all have laying around, only used for sign ups or waitomo moolah
I have 13, 12 warehouse mobile sims and 1 Vodafone sim

I've done a little organized list noting down what sims have been signed up for things, as well as how much waitomo moolah each one has - quite helpful with keeping track of sims
Interesting. I buy sims to use for mainly only Uber Eats & Marketclub! and sometimes Z app for free coffees!
do you use Uber eats $20 off your order code or something else?
@kiwiicheapies: Yes, since it's off my First order my old card won't work. So I just by a Prepaid Prezzy card!
@shopsomedeals: I'm surprised they haven't blacklisted your address. Also, don't you have to pay a fee to load up a prezzy card?
@AClubPenguinUser: I do have to pay a fee of $5.95 + a Minimum load of $25 per card. Gets pricey they do Blacklist my address on some of my Uber eats accounts (not all) But when that's the case I use my neighbors' address and stand outside waiting for the driver. (in total per card MINIMUM is $30.95 and I have about 23 Prezzy cards works out to be a lot. However, it is worth it as I get 4-5 Orders per Prezzy card.
@shopsomedeals: A year late, but have you considered signing up to wise and just using virtual credit cards? You can make them on demand and delete them when your done. Perfect for trials and this sort of thing and doesn't cost anything.
@Everettpsycho: I just tried doing this for my apt block and didn't work, ðŸ˜
use the neighbors addy and works 😅
@Everettpsycho: Also Revolut
Only for Waitomo …. 39 sims , plus 35 more accounts usings friends mobile numbers to create more accounts.
oh wow that's impressive! you must have a load of moolah credit laying around
0.
How does the Moolah scam work?
whenever they run the moolah promotion you just enter the phone number of each sim and then spin the wheel to get either $2, $5, $10 or $20. repeat the process with all your sims to get quite a bit of credit towards fueling your car
Wow, I have no extra Sims.
if you're planning to get some, easiest and cheapest way is to get 6 from the warehouse at $1 each and then use The Market's $5 off purchases $5.01 or more. then you can get 6 sims for $1
ZERO
I reckon its worth looking in to. here's some benefits of using spare sims

15, plus a 20ml medicine vial half full so maybe 35 total
Added bonus of main phone being dual SIM and old as second phone being dual SIM makes life easier to manage
yeah I've got a dual sim phone too, makes it easy
about 25, problem is they expire without top-up/use after a year or whatever so if needed for acct recovery your number is already given to someone else
I've only had mine for about half a year, not looking forward to all the sims to expire in another half a year
You can make it last twice as long with a Warehouse mobile sim.
They come with $5 of free credit so I don’t activate the sim initially.
Just putting it into a phone is sufficient to receive the verification code.
When you’ve had the sim for a while then activate it.
It then puts on the $5 credit and you have a year to use it without topup.
I did this the other day with a sim I’ve had for about 10 months.
I’ve now got another year at no additional cost apart from the initial outlay for the sim.
Is it against the law to register multiple SIM cards under a single phone? Warehouse Mobile is also offering a 5GB swap-over bonus, which means you can potentially receive 5GB of data by purchasing a SIM card from another provider and then switching to Warehouse Mobile but they might track down your phone's IMEI and blacklist it as a result?
There is no problem doing this.
Many people switch networks all the time by porting their number across and taking advantage of any bonus offers such as sign up data.
You won't get your IMEI blacklisted just for swapping SIMS.
@bigcheese: Righto switching should be ok, I'm just concerned about buying bulk loads of new sim cards and activating them under the same phone.
@Alex268: From my own experience I have activated a lot of SIMS using a spare phone I had over the past couple of years.
I have never had any problems.
You could always buy a cheap phone if you were worried about bricking your current one?
Just make sure it is unlocked so that if you want to change networks you can.
Is merely inserting the sim into your phone with it logging onto the network enough to keep it ‘active’? I use my 60+ sims for Waitomo, kfc and z free coffees…
No.
You generally need to add credit to your account once per year in order to keep the number active. The amount varies - minimum is generally $5 (Warehouse Mobile for example), others are more.
After a year you will be deregistered from the network if you haven’t topped up.
For the purpose you are using it for it is cheaper just to get a new sim.
Yeah, that’s not a problem. They are only 50c each at my local pak n save. Always best with new numbers when registering with Waitomo as well.
@Joshyss: Do you always put a ‘birthday’ on your Waitomo account?
Worth it for the $5 fuel you get.
@bigcheese: TBH I can’t remember what I did. I just used them when they had the sign your friend up or something like that promotion. With that, then the endless free KFC and the coffees on top, I have well and truly got my moneys worth out of them.
I had purchased Kogan SIM back in 2020 when they they had some great offer and I didn't recharge after 90 day period I still receive SMS. Even Skinny Sims I got when CD had offer and activated a couple of Sims they are still in use after initial recharge after more than a year.
Got lots way too many to count haha!
sold my local New world out.
