Anyone order a ps5 from the latest warehouse drop?

Hi has anyone else ordered a ps5 from the may 13 release at TWL and had it arrive? At their end it says in transit but no tracking info at their end with NZ post. Not an isolated incident and they said there's a few and have launched an investigation. Seems pretty suss and losing hope my sons gift is gonna show up

  • We got one, but we did 'click and collect' as not really comfortable with couriers, literally, throwing it around.

I believe we collected it about four days after placing the order - I'd have to find the emails to be sure though.

Mine was C&C but it does get delivered by NZ post to the warehouse store you've selected. I've been on the phone with them today and mine isn't the only one missing. Seems a bit suss tbh

      • Bugger!

They've emailed me today and said mine and others have been unable to be located and arranging a replacement to be sent and gave me a $50 voucher

          • @Chanelle: Kind of a win I guess - I hope it will be in time for your son's birthday!

            • @Alan6984: Been and gone sadly but I'm just happy they were able to get a replacement rather than a refund. I stocked up on pet food with my voucher and this weeks offers 😊

  • I know multiple people in the south island that have received the digital or disc units released that day. If the order status says 'in transit' on the website download The Warehouse's app and log in and view order history and you should have a tracking number there for the order(unless you did guest checkout or click and collect). Or you can ask live chat via the site for the tracking number.

If you picked click and collect it may just say 'in transit' and not have a tracking # because it's going store to store via nzpost and not direct to you. In that situation your local store receives the item and processes it then calls/contacts you that it's ready for pickup. This can take a few days longer than getting it to your home address via courier if they are busy..

    • Yes click and collect but it's actually missing along with others. They've launched an investigation with NZ post

Of recent every parcel I've had sent to me and tracked by Nz Post has not shown much in the way of tracking at all. Usually it says
    picked up from sender

    then it says

    delivered

    with nothing in between.
I think the couriers are getting a bit slack at scanning or else theres a fault with the system

    • Yes I’ve noticed exactly the same thing.
      Kind of makes tracking pointless.

    • It's probably nzpost. They updated their tracking earlier this year on the domestic economy service.

    • Yeah, economy isn't courier, its delivery agent.
Typically there isn't a requirement for delivery agents to complete an out for delivery scan

  • Twl have actually launched an internal investigation because mine isn't the only one missing .they were sent on may 15&16 and NZ post saying "we don't have them" the one time I bite the bullet and spend the money for my son's birthday this ends up happening 🥺 been 12 days now

    • Sounds like the couriers might be doing a PS 5 finger discount.

      • That's exactly what it sounds like as they said there were many others

        • mine from the market arrived in boxes stamped with the PS5 model outside.
anyone who did a bit of research about PS5 knows whats inside.

        • Wonder if they know surely they pack it inside another box if so they must be making a guess on the weight and size

          • @[Deactivated]: Ours, collected from TWL, but apparently couriered to the store (based on Chanelle's post above) arrived in an outer that said nothing to indicate it contained a PS5.

The outer was about three times the size of the actual PS5, and around twice the size of the PS5 box itself, but had the games and additional controller, plus a load of packing stuff.
