Surfshark (80% off) Plus 97% Cashback (~ $5 to $10 for 2yr) @ Cashrewards

30

Use a VPN like ProtonVPN to connect to the states (I tested with Miami, Florida) to bypass the 15% GST which will save you another ~$15. With currency conversions it's kinda hard to guess as to what the exact price will be, but it'll be roughly between $5-$10 total for the 2 years.

Cashback is eligible for new Surfshark customers only.

Cashback may be ineligible if using codes not listed on Cashrewards.

Cashback is calculated and paid on the advertised cost of the plan only. It will not include any GST, taxes, credit card or PayPal surcharges.

The amount that tracks to your Cashrewards account may differ to the paid amount due to international exchange rates. Your initial payment is converted to USD, then converted back to AUD when reported to us. The advertised cashback rate is based on the reported amount, not the paid amount. Cashrewards has no control over this process.

From OzBargain:

A new customer is defined by Surfshark, and nothing to do with your Cashrewards account. Simply use a new email address at their end, the same Cashrewards account as always, and you're good to go.

Click 'Shop Now' or 'Shop Offer' and buy - don't click to other sites looking for codes etc and certainly don't use any 3rd party plugins. Best to use the Cashrewards mobile app on 4G/5G as this also eliminates any potential issues with WiFi/router firewalls and the like. Tracking for Surfshark typically takes 1-4 hours.

And finally please remember you have the safety net of Surfshark 30-day money back guarantee should tracking fail. All the best :)

I personally have Nord, however the last time I sent one of these deals through to my mates they ended up getting $75.76 AUD back, and testing with Nord on the Surfshark website it's $78.96 AUD, so a good chance it's just shy of $5 NZD

    • A bit OT, Nord now owns Surfshark.

  • Just did it is cost $105.33 NZD for the two year then I just got an email saying I have been cashed back $75.85 AUD which takes up to 80 days to be processed, I’ll let you know exactly what amount I get back in NZD I’m guessing after the transaction switching it back probably a similar amount.

    • Ah damn, just had a look, seems the price is before GST. Used Nord, and from Aus they charge 10% tax, or 0% from Florida, USA. I'll add that to the description for the next buyer.

You'll probably get $84 nzd back, but for 2 years $20 ain't bad.

20 bucks ain’t bad at all yeah I should’ve done that but not a big deal and with my surfshark subscription ending next month the timing is perfect.

  • Sign up to cash rewards via referral link and you get $10, then go through the link and get 97% cashback (making sure to choose another country when purchasing to avoid gst), essentially turns out to be free. I have $85.85 AUD cashback pending. Now just have to wait to withdraw it.

  • Having issues signing up to cash rewards - :( fails when entering in cell number. Bummer.

    • I had the same issue with my 9 digit number, luckily I had a spare sim, entered that and got through, after creating the account, I was able to change it to my 9 digit number. Try that.

    • There's an error message on the page, or the message doesn't send? If on the page, try a different browser. But otherwise what is the message?

  • Late to the party. Wish this deal is still going

  • Thank you very much.
The link provided still currently offers 30% cashback. I'm pondering whether I should take the plunge on this.

I've used Nord in the past and currently on IPVanish. What I have found is they don't work as good as SurfShark for streaming services due being blocked.

For example, services like : Paramount+ , BRITBOX USA and PEACOCK TV are all blocked by IPvanish. I can't specifically remember the situation with Nord.

I mean you're more than welcome to, but they seem to go above 90% cash back at least once a month. Up to you if you want to wait and potentially save $100 or not.
