Advice: Netflix Turkey Gift Cards

My netflix balance is getting finish in July. Had bought turkey gift cards from Turgame.com last year. It was the cheapest at that time and by the looks of it is still the cheapest.

Now, the problem is somehow I can't proceed the sms verification for Gpay for payment. Not receiving the otp code to verify the NZ number. This worked last time. Anyone still using Turgame to buy gift cards? how did you manage to make the payment?

Any other cheaper place to buy Turkish Gift cards? I checked g2a.com, which is around $2NZD expensive than turgame.

    Just click OK using the pre-filled code. No need for the OTP.

      OK on Gpay verification screen? Doesn't work for me. It says invalid

        When I get to the GPay OTP screen, there's already a number in the OTP space. Click confirm. It worked for me last week. It seems fine for me to proceed now too.

          Using the same account on Turgame as before, so all details are still the same. I can see the phone is correct as well.

            @ace310: Ah, weird! I have the same screen except that the OTP is prefilled with a number so I can just click "confirm". (I don't receive any SMS.)

                @ace310: I just did an order now to test.
                It worked for me - exactly the same as sunshinenz with the OTP prefilled out.
                Not sure what's happening sorry.

                @ace310: I topped up last week, $73 NZD for almost 9 months, ultra account (or whatever it's called). In terms of NZD the price has gone up since last time I topped up.

                  @sunshinenz: Yes Netflix Turkey announced back in April that they were lifting prices around 40%.
                  The premium package which I also have has gone up to TL 77.99

                  This is the changes:
                  Basic: was TL 26.99 now TL 37.99
                  Standard: was TL 40.99 now TL 57.99
                  Premium: was TL 54.99 now TL 77.99

                  It's a big jump but still heaps less than paying for the equivalent package rom Netflix NZ

                    @bigcheese: But value of Lira has dropped since last year, so I don't think it is a 40% increase, maybe more like 10-20%

                      @ace310: I was meaning the price in Lira has gone up at least 40% per month.
                      If you convert it back to NZD then yes it is only a nominal increase.

            @ace310: @ace310, I have been able to replicate this issue when I switched the currency to TRY on top bar of the Turgame website. When I switched it back to EUR, the code is pre-filled when I check out my order. Hope this helps you.

    I just purchased the one card on initial setup and from there onwards it just charges my CC at the equivalent Lira to NZD conversion each month. I don't need to keep buying gift cards.

      I've been meaning to do that, but end up buying a gift card every time something like this post comes up just to test.
      I'm now paid up til Jan '23 so need to wait a bit longer.

      That only works if you had nz cc already loaded on your account and let the netflix expire. And reactivate it with turkish gift card.

      Yes. It comes to 108.15TRY.

      For bynogame, there is a service charge of 3% for credit card right? And the Netflix card is 106try so you don't pay any service charge?

        1.3% for credit card on bynogame so 107.378 TRY (9.86 nzd) total in the end

            @ace310: They accept international ID, just message live chat is probably the easiest way, should take 5 minute tops
            I just did drivers license

            They are a huge turkish company so figure they are trust worthy

    Finally got it working with turgame. Had to create a new account and different phone number.

    Don't know what is wrong with my main account.

      Had the same issues as you overnight. The GPay OTP code wouldn't prepopulate to confirm and I wasn't getting the SMS with code. Rather than set up a new account and phone number, I simply changed the currency from Lira to Euro and it seemed to work fine. Not sure why it would make a difference, but Euro was probably slightly more expensive in the end.

    Not sure what the story is yet, but my "gift" expired on the 12th and I didn't get a new card to see what would happen (already had a credit card saved). And while I'm yet to see a charge on my card, I still have Netflix.

    It may be worth giving it a try to do the same. I'll update when I know for sure theyve charged my card for the Turkish amount.

    A bit rich they geo block cards here though. They had zero issue taking my NZ card for my US subscription, which was often costing me more than a NZ one.

    Can confirm the following worked last week:
    Hopefully this helps someone if they're having issues.

    • Let current Netflix expire.
    • Purchase turkish giftcard from turgame (wait a few hours for it to come through)
    • Signin to Netflix, it will ask to reactivate.
    • VPN (i used nordvpn) to turkey
    • Reload netflix page (now turkish netflix), select the giftcard option and input giftcard.
    • Netflix is now live using turkish payment.
    • using the live chat help (still vpn), request the secure payment method update form to change your payment method (load credit card)

    nordvpn appears to work no issues (others reports issues)
    I used a WISE virtual card for all the above.
    I was getting the OTP request when trying to load it directly via netflix page, it worked through the secure change on live chat.

      Instructions worked for me to add the Wise card to a new Turkish Netflix account after using a gift card for the first month. I will see if it charges the card when it renews

    Did your wise card get charged? My NZ CC number got leaked so had to cancel and get a new one and unable to update my card as the OTP request keeps failing.

      I don't have payment profile on my netflix account. I used gift cards.

      But you can try this method to buy the gift cards where otp is the issue
