Always check against Kmart pricing (often cheaper). Could end up getting a better deal after this promo finishes with The Warehouse price promise.
Works well with lego that's previously been price beat by live chat but still in cart
Do you think that this still works if you price beat items today?
I found most legos are still cheaper through Amazon Au.
Warehouse Ben said no price beat because the items are on promotion.
Ben is the one I have found will dig his heels in the most of all the online agents I’ve dealt with in regards to price beat.
My suggestion is if it’s not a simple ‘like for like’ pricebeat and you get Ben, just hang up and get another agent.
Yeah, avoid Jules too.
Damn yes just got Jules. I'm going to go instore later and see if they'll price match in store. I normally have better luck in store than the live chat. They're pretty relaxed instore I find.
Ben, lol.
He’s very good at his role. Believe it or not he’s actually from overseas (same with EJ, Jules etc)
I think Phillipines?
How did you come across that intel?
@L3tstaxth1s: A former live chat agent “Erica” told me she worked overseas when I inquired.
Then I named a few other live chat reps and she confirmed they were in the same team.
Their grammar is a bit off, which makes sense as English may not be their first language.
I guess this is how TWH manages to have live agents working up until 9pm on weekdays for us - as their Timezone is different.
Some interpretations are outright dumb. I once asked Ben to price match a Fitbit from PBTech. The PBTech webpage said "limit 2 per purchase". Ben refused to price batch because of the quantity restriction from the competitor. I only wanted 1 Fitbit!
Just when you thought u had heard it all… So the quantity limits if any need to match as well haha
check brickstore as well
Thanks for posting OP. Stocked up on Lego for kids birthday presents.
Thanks OP.
My son just bought some lego with the money he had saved up.
Unfortunately he also used my last remaining free shipping code too, so I guess it's click & collect from now on!
Anyone else get the ‘we’re having trouble finding your items’ email….
Just to update, as mentioned above I went instore and they honored a price match tonight on the Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets set. With the BOGOHP promotion and price beat, it came down to $99 from $234.
Price beat which company?
Brickstore NZ has it at $207.99 which if honoured by TWH for a price beat, would make the new first item price $187.19 and the BOGOHP second item price $93.60. Total of $280.79, or $140.40 each. That’s actually not far off BOGOF based on the RRP of $260!
That's a really decent saving. I was pretty happy with my price beat with Toyco. I have never looked at Brickstore. I will next time, thanks for that
Can you confirm the math on this for me please? Toyco price is $220, so an honoured 10% discount price match by TWH would make the full price you paid for the first one $198, and therefore $99 for the second one, for a total of $297. Is that what you mean?
Hey, yes give or take a few dollars as the other set I purchased was the Lego Friends Main Street which was $225. I price matched the Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets set which brought it down to $199, and then as it was the cheaper of the two, it was then half price. It came to a total of $318 with the $5 discount from the app.
I have just price matched The Harry Potter Fluffy Encounter Set ($72) along with the Dumbledore Phoenix Set ($72).
The Fluffy Encounter is $50 at Kmart, they came down to:
Fluffy Encounter ($45)
Dumbledores Pheonix ($36)
Hope that all makes sense, I'm half asleep now.
Thanks OP for the heads up on this one.
I used Toyco.
That's a really good deal. Lego rarely goes more than 15% off.
