Who can recommend a decent pair / brand of slippers?
The Warehouse ones I got lasted all of two weeks, only worn inside, carpet floor for a couple hours a night. They literally fell apart.
So, being cheapies is great, but having given the red shed $20 for crap, I’m open to upping the budget for a level of quality.
Bonus points for being locally made, real fleece etc

Mi-Woolies slippers and boots. NOT cheap but VERY warm and they last me generally 3-4 years. The BEST.

The Sheepskin Factory - NZ made products, small family run business. The slippers are not cheap but if you're wearing them alot then it's the same as buying a decent pair of shoes. And I think if you found a manufacturing issue they are much more likely to work with you to resolve it.

That being said I had a pair of $35 sheepskin slippers from Number One Shoes that I wore day in and out for a six months, and they lasted great. So might just be luck of the draw.
I've got a pair of these from NZSale. Pretty sure they are just rebranded uggs, as they look the same and have the same rubber bottoms.
I've had a pair for a few months now and have no issues at all. Worn inside only for about 10 hours a day (work from home life).

UGGs or the Auswoolis are good. Just ordered a new pair after 3 years of wearing everyday, even in summer (inside)

they are still intact however the interior wool has mostly come off
happy with them so ordered another pair of the exact same ones :)
Possum pam manufacture first grade sheepskin footwear in NZ. It costs more than the imported stuff but there is no comparison for quality. We’ve stocked them for many, many years never had a complaint.

Grosby is apparently so-so ($12). Ozwear seems decent enough ($23).
Crocs
Ugg tend to be fairly good quality, at least they used to be, maybe they've cheaped out on manufacturing like a lot of things in recent years. So they're up for around $50-70 on OnceIt and The Market at the moment before any further discounts. Can't comment on comfort though as I've never actually owned a pair myself. Not sure about locally produced brands either, they're almost exclusively out of the CheapAzChips price range.
