[PS4, XB1] Collective Minds Strike Packs (Controller Modification Kit) $15 + Shipping / Pickup @ EB Games

40

I'm not sure how good these are but I've never seen them this cheap, I don't think they'd be worth the RRP at $100-$120 but for $15 I'll take the risk. They are just mods that add rear buttons to your Xbox one or PS4 controllers, the downside is they need to be used wired.

  • Any chance these work with a ps5 controller?

I got an Xbox one version and that doesn't work with the subtle layout change the series s/x controllers underwent. I don't think it'll fit the ps5 controllers shape with it being very different to the ps4 ones.

just picked one up for xbox controller, using it on PC and it seems to work fine with mapping buttons (button combos work but with analog stick are either not possible or hard), still have to work out all the fps modes though

    • If youre happy to pay, you can get Game Pass which has pre-maps.

    • I got the eliminator one and weirdly on one of my controllers it just doesn't work. I can either get the controller to work or the sfrike pack but not both.

Tried it on another controller I haven't used in a while and it works just fine so I'll just use that one for it and my series s controller that it doesn't fit in if I want to play wirelessly. Don't think I'll do any firmware updates on the ckntroller it does work with just in case there's some form of patch that blocked them working.

Main reason I got the thing was to try out rear buttons and not have to blow hundreds in a pro controller.

I've also seen Sony's official back button on sale for $10 in the us so tempted to grab one of those and you shop it over as fjay would be better than these things.

  • Are you using it with PC? I know it I had to plug in and out a couple times for it to recognise it, but hasn't caused trouble since then.

    • I'm using it on a series s using an Xbox one controller as it doesn't fit the series s controller, the battery compartment is a slightly different moulding and it has a USB c port instead of micro usb. The controller works without the strike pack and the strike pack works on another controller so I'm assuming theres something about the combination.
