Seller is Hyperhawk, Acoording to reviews:

Purchased 30+ units of X18 18TB SATA (ST18000NM000J) from HyperHawk. Checked each serial number and can confirm that all of them have eligible retail warranty from Seagate US. Caveat is that I cannot tell you that this would be the case for other sellers.

    • Last month my brother got 2 WD externals from Uk to Aus they sent it wrapped in paper packaging not even a box, it was fortunate that externals are packaged well and none died from shock

      • You would think common sense would prevail when packaging technology items, but I guess not.

  • If buying hard drives:
    CMR/PMR = Good
    SMR = Bad

  • I bought a bunch of the 18TBs from HyperHawk recently. The drives themselves were individually boxed appropriately and had valid warranties (need to return to US for faults though). However they were shipped in a plastic satchel, which ripped in transit on the sharp corners of the boxes inside, so not all the drives made it. This is Amazon's fault as they did fulfilment, and they resent the ones that were lost.

    • How much was it to send back the broken drives? or did amazon cover the return cost?

      • The individual drives were missing from the package that was delivered, they fell out in transit

    • Ouch, price per TB isn't that good.
      Earlier this month there was a post about an unobainable deal (since deleted), the comments mentioned one off ebay. Seagate IronWolf Pro 16TB AUD $419.75 ( i was charged $475.12 NZD - included fees). I bought that & it was deliverd by DHL took about 10 days to show up. price per TB less than $30
