We are going to travel to Asia, with Singapour airline allowing 30kg check-in. So we are going with big suitecases !
We always been using Samsonite. But wonder if there are better deal with other brand like Flylite, Antler, American Tourister, etc … so many brand that I don't know !
On Consumer, Samsonite are all in the top. But then for other brand, it seems to depend on the model itself.
I can tell you this garnered from long experience throwing around thousands of bags over many years at an airport. Buy Shell type bags with 4 wheels and 'extenda handles'. Brands aren't something I've really paid attention to. TBH I've seen damage to any and every brand. Do not buy 'roll' type bags as the handles often tear down the sides of the bag. Shell bags are much better. Do NOT over pack your bag. The greatest threat to bags is the owners overpacking them. I've seen countless handles just tear off the bags. Just because the Airline allows you a 30Kg per bag weight allowance it's not necessarily a good idea to pack 30Kg into a bag. Oh and Airlines do NOT compensate for broken bag handles - for the very reason that people tend to overpack them.
