I'm looking for a good camping mattress. Since we don't go camping very often, I wonder if there are alternative uses for a camping mattress (so it's worth investing in a decent one). Can it be used for guests (I don't often have guests but when I do they stay for 1-2 months) or the occasional naps? Could you please recommend a good quality double mattress? Thanks.
We have been camping for a few years on the 5 and 10cm self inflating mattresses. The thicker ones are like sleeping on a cloud. SO much better than a traditional 'blow up' mattress. We had four singles, where the two 10cm ones domed together to make a double. The kids just jumped on it and split one of them, so now looking at Torpedo 7 for a replacement. They have a double available which I'm looking at for ~$130. Couple that with the Topedo 7 F&F deal or free shipping.
