Received an email from Simplicity with this book. There's an Audiobook available here too: https://soundcloud.com/simplicitynz/sets/money-made-simple/s…
Part One has a chapter on each of Three Simple Truths:
· We should talk about money.
· It’s how we think about money which matters.
· Understanding compounding returns really matters.
In Part Two he covers The Eight Golden Rules of Money in eight further short chapters:
· Pay off your debts.
· Invest in education.
· Buy a house if you can and pay it off as soon as possible.
· Get into Kiwi Saver.
· Stop paying high fees and high interest.
· Choose diversified, passive funds.
· Have a rainy-day fund.
· Have some basic insurance.
I had a look through this and it's good commonsense advice that's easy to apply. For those who want to dive in a bit deeper, 'Rich Enough?' by Mary Holm is available at most libraries.
