Better deal for the 64 version. It's v30.

  • Online clearance

Don't know how long this free shipping on clearance deal goes for. Has been available for a week or two already.

  • I tend to use Rubber Monkey for this sort of card, and go with the Sandisk Extreme range.
Depending on what you're using this for, the write speed can be really important.
If it's a camera then it helps clear the buffer faster in burst shooting, if the card is fast and the camera interface supports that, and if it's video then higher quality (likes of new GoPro models etc) video requires faster consistent write speeds to safely record.

  • What's a good card to use with a Google tv chromecast and a hub? To extend the hard drive etc, namely for retro emulators

    • I don't know what's best but did have to reformat my card to FAT32 and create multiple partitions, it wouldn't work with NTFS. So no file sizes over 4GB

  • I don't get why people constantly recommend these cards from JB or elsewhere, when the deal isn't even that good.

    Just get this:
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32806189432.html

$21.81 for 128GB Evo Plus. That's 4x the storage with faster read and write speed at only 2x the price of this deal. The benchmarks posted by others are real and I own like 5 of these already. They are genuine.

Refer here for official read/write specs - https://www.windowscentral.com/samsung-evo-plus-microsd-revi…

And before you say "oh but that's a microSD card, not SD!" - you simply just add the microSD to the SD card adapter, done.

Plus, it's a Samsung. When it comes to storage, they are just much better than other brands in general. Anything from PS5 SSD to laptop to phone storage. They are just the top tier.

because most people would be to scared to buy off aliexpress because of the 1000s of fake sd card out there that say they are eg 64 gb but really only 4gb made to show its 64gb

also even if the sd cards you linked to are the real size they say how do you know they are legit samsung cards and not a very good fake?

      • A very good fake can't fake benchmarks and there are tools out there to check the metadata, such as the serial and bin number, etc.

Reviews also give a good indication of whether it's fake or not.

Also, I personally tested them, and they are genuine af. I've been using them for over 4 years, no issues whatsoever and I do a lot of heavy writes and formatting on them, including backing up a 70GB nandroid TWRP backup of my entire phone, as well as partitioning them for SWAP, etc. All my photos and videos are stored on the external card by default and I've purchased 5 more of them this year for my dashcam and home security cameras.

Also, they are $20, not $200. I don't see why one should contemplate so much in spending $20 to try out something.

    • HMMM……$11 for 32GB or $57.19 for 400GB (https://www.cheapies.nz/node/36736)

      Decisions decisions.

    • The store name is sumsung. That is very suspicious.

Then don't buy it. The fact that you ignored the benchmarks and the fact that many people including me have confirmed them to be real apparently mean nothing to you. That's fine, just don't buy it. Simple.
