SanDisk Extreme: $67.69 delivered Amazon AU

ASUS Dual Radeon RX 6750 XT OC Edition $867.39 delivered PP

    ^ comparison of the two

Samsung 980 1TB NVMe SSD $129 is not bad. Was $99 two months ago. Could wait for Black Friday sales maybe?

American Express still doing their spend $100 get $20 back at PB too

  • Most deals apply in store as well, but heads up their Newmarket store is shut due to being ram raided last night.

    • it was a brand new store

      • guess that means lots of brand new stuff for some a-hole to try and steal?

    • Isn't that store up a staircase?

      • They navigated a footpath and broke through a gate. I work with young people in corrections. They're very street smart.

        • If your shop has no bollards, then you're in trouble

    • nah, the PB tech reviews look good. But I personally opted for comfort and ergonomics over aesthetics.

A good quality buro office chair is several times the price but well worth it and I use daily for working in my home office.

Its also pretty easy to get a decent quality second hand one for well under $100

This one here is similar to one I recently bought for my second/spare desk at home. They are out in West Auckland and the seller looked to run a a chair repair and cleaning company. You could likely make an offer and get it for maybe $20 cheaper making it a very comfortable and ergonomic option. Your butt will thank you haha

      • I bought a Herman Miller Aeron 3 years ago brand new $1600 fully loaded with unlimited warranty for 10 years. Of course not everyone has the same budget but I was looking into Buro initially, however I think Formway Life chairs are another good alternative - you can get these second hand for around $200 (ANZ, Air NZ use quite a lot of these Formway and Steelcase chairs)

And I agree with Tmurder91. I'm currently sitting on a Buro Roma 3 Lever Midback. Got mine for $160 off Trade Me.

      • I have a Buro which I bought new 13 years ago for about $400. Can't remember what model it was but similar to the one you mentioned. I only use it occasionally (I'm not into wfh, so going into the office most days) and don't really like it.

        • What do you use instead.

          • @Wakrak: I still use the Buro when wfh. I'm looking to buy one for my partner who wfh even less frequently but is more fussy about chairs. But because we don't wfh that often we don't want to spend so much haha.

            • @sunshinenz: Fair enough. I prefer working in the office too but Covid has been a limiting factor of late (recovering now). Love my stand-up desk at work.

      • Does the seat rock forwards and back on those?

I have one that was assembled incorrectly by previous owner. Once seat was reversed correctly it's great, but the base has a lot of play in it.

        • My Buro is correctly assembled, by a professional even ;)

          • @sunshinenz: Butt does the seat rock a bit, or is it fixed like a normal chair?

            • @Jaxson: The back can be adjusted, but when locked in place it stays firm.

    • My partner has one, its alright but if you plan on using it as a daily driver. I would invest in a good ergonomic chair. I have a sidiz t50 which is pretty decent.

    • I am currently sitting on it.. It's wide and comfy - not uber comfy but good on the price/can't complain. Has little degree of incline and the handles are fixed(Only Bummer for me). I am 95Kg so it keeps well however if my kid sits with me then I feel uncomfortable.LOL However can't complain for the price I got it.. 2 years back.

      • Thanks. Is that for the ONEX GX1? So it will be quite ok for the occassional wfh?

        • Yes.. My feedback is for the GX1 and I daily drive it till I find a good replacement - I bought mine 2 years back for $199.. so $149 is good price

          • @thunder02dragon: Thanks very much for your feedback! I'm still sitting… on the fence, lol. Most likely buy soon though ;)

  • Was reading feedback on that SanDisk 128GB Ultra Dual Drive Go USB Type-C last night.

    Things to know:

    Comment 1

    this one's all plastic.

    Comment 2

See Amazon reviews. Slow write speed and it gets hot quickly. 🤷‍♂️

    Comment 3

I have 2 of these I use to send audio files to my family. They are very handy for size (mailing) and the multi USB ports. Maybe they aren't the best for running apps or video off.

    Comment 4

There is an Youtube video showing that this drive is capable of doing
    ~116 MB/s read
    ~40 MB/s write

    • Yeah seems its good for things like windows install usb's + Software installer storage (Using Ventoy)
where you write few, but read way more

But not so much as general purpose

  • Copped myself the MX Master 3S for $118.99 and FREESHIP. Don't think it's a huge upgrade over the MX Master 3. But not a bad deal I think.

  • The Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller is good value at $157 https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/GAMMST2008/Microsoft-Xbox-E…

Go grab an accessory kit off Aliexpress for $30 (or if you don't need everything then just grab the thumbsticks or the rear paddles and save even more money) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002884554902.html and you've virtually got a full Elite Series 2 controller for less than $190, the only things missing are the dock and carry case and who cares about those?
