Isn’t this against the law? Theres a place you can go to report this I think
Sale starts, sale ends. New sale starts. Just how it is.
It can't be on "sale" that often or one of them is just the normal price.
Here's a write up by the Commerce Commision on pricing, discounts etc.
Chemist Warehouse probably do push the definition of what a usual retail price is.Recently Comcom increased their fines for companies if they conduct any funny business, but those fines are still chump change compared to the whopping $1 billion profit Chemist Warehouse made last year from their many stores worldwide. They will just continue to scam Kiwis for many years to come unfortunately.
Chemist warehouse has done it again- increase prices right before the 10% promotion
I noticed it too. A product I wanted to buy was $24.99 yesterday, saw the email about 10% off and thought perfect timing! Only to find the product now is $31.99 - 10% = $28.79. There was nothing to suggest it was ‘on sale’ before.
Is this in-store as well or just when buying online?
They definitely increased price on some of the items. One Drop Toilet Deodoriser Rose was $3.99 yesterday and now it's $4.99 ($4.49 after 10% discount). They probably only changed the price today as google still shows $3.99. Disgusting.
There is a cached version of that product page from 19 October 2021 and it shows a price of $4.99. So while the sale price today is higher than the sale price was a week or two ago, it appears that the everyday price is $4.99 for that particular product.
Thanks, good to know.
The extra 10% promo finished yesterday and the price went back to $3.99.

Funny business.
definitely looks suspicious with the price increases, but it should be noted retail stores usually change sale prices on mondays (think supermarkets). It's just a coincidence, i dont think chemist warehouse would do this purposefully
Braun thermoscan 7 thermometer cost more in the sale.
If you want the Braun thermoscan cheaper buy it from Medisave NZ and add the coupon code "LOVEMEDISAVE". Got it for $105.51 yesterday which is far cheaper than Chemist Warehouse even normally.
Yes was thinking of buying from them. Thanks for the coupon. I guess I'll pull the trigger on it then.
$113 including shipping ($8.50) using coupon.
Amazon au is $105 ($94 AUD delivered)
How did get for $105?

$113.61I got charged $117.06 in total due to rural address shipping ($11.55). They had it advertised as $94.99 excluding GST which is what lured me in. So $94.99 minus 5% discount code of $4.75 plus GST of $15.27 = $105.51. But even with GST added it was far cheaper than Chemist Warehouse who I had assumed to be one of the better prices. Harvey Norman has the same model listed as $179 on special!!
@Aba22: This will be my second thermometer, the first one died about 2.5 years after purchase.

This is a problem we run into from time to time - and no good solution really. Our promotional calendar is jam packed, and often we have one promotion end and another start the following day.
In this case, our October catalogue has just finished (midnight last night) so some products which were on special in that catalogue have returned to their normal price (EDLP/Every Day Low Price).
Our 10% off sitewide sale is now running so some products may be higher than yesterday, but on average things are lower as the discount is across the whole store.
Can expect some prices to be higher than what it was a day or three ago.
