Has anyone taken advantage of The Warehouse Christmas Club in the past?

Somehow ended up on The Warehouse's help section and reading about their Christmas club card offer. I'm guessing it's like a debit card? Do you have to sign up prior to the fixed shopping window? (1 Nov - 31 Dec).

Particularly interested in the following:

  • You can shop instore at The Warehouse with your Christmas Club card between the 1 November to 31 December (redemption period) using your Christmas Club card and you’ll receive an extra 5% off purchases*. The 5% instore discount is available for the entire redemption period when you use the funds on your Christmas Club card. * Excludes online purchases, lay-by payments, lay-by deposits, gift cards and finance payments.
  • The 5% is applied after the other discount. For example, if you buy an item that has an original price of $100 and it has a 10% discount and you pay for that item with your Christmas Club card, the 10% discount will be applied first to reduce the item’s price to $90 and the 5% discount will then be applied to the $90 to reduce the price payable to $85.50.
  • We are planning to hold this year’s Christmas Club VIP shopping day on Thursday 1 December 2022 – pop it in your diary now and watch for an email with details closer to the time

    Its quite good. Two of my family members use it and they top up before using it so they don't over preload the credit and say they get the 5% off straight away. I am hoping to use this on top of the $5 off $50.

      Should be possible. From the FAQ:

      Can I use MarketClub with other The Warehouse loyalty programmes?
      Yes, you can currently use this in conjunction with Farmlands, The Purple Visa Card, and Christmas Club Card. MarketClub cannot be used with BizRewards.

    Yes I can confirm it works like a debit card with 5% off. In addition to the discounts you get in store.
