$8.50 shipping? Somethings fishy here - that’s more than I pay for large packages delivered. I’m assuming they probably send the samples in an envelope too so seems like they’ve built the price into the shipping and called it a day.

I don't think there's anything fishy here. It's not like they have a a small sample set that they've discounted and marked up the shipping. It's $1 for each sample which each make a few cups of tea. You could order 50+ different samples if you wanted.

$8.50 is just their only shipping fee for orders less than $89. They probably don't have a sophisticated enough system to calculate postage based on weight/volume so just charge the 1 fee.

Shipping costs are expensive. I've sold things with Trademe and booked NZpost. A small box like 10x10x20cm will cost $9.50 same island or $12 between Island. A medium bag (33x25cm) will cost $8.71 between island.

Bigger companies might get some sort of discount but I imagine most of their shipping costs aren't accurate and they've just factored the shipping cost in the product prices.

easy peasy got 30 tea samples, will be having a good tea party soon

  • Could someone who's ordered from the before please post a photo of what the sample packs look like? Thanks heaps

    • Not sure if theres a better way to share a photo, but here are some I got earlier in the year.
Packaging may have changed, but these samples had enough for a few cups in them (2-5 I guess, depending how strong you like each tea), and were re-sealable.

  • Cheers. Grabbed 43 samples. I like their black and white teas.
