Not an outrageous deal but a good price for an entry level gaming laptop.
Did a quick check of the specs and looks like the CPU is pretty good and the GPU is roughly equivalent to a gtx1650.

Memory should be upgradable as upgrade sites mention a second sodimm slot. This would probably be advisable as 8gb in single channel is a weakness as configured.

I thought gtx1650 is quite decent. Is it only counted as entry level gaming graphics now?
Very entry level these days.
the apu in this laptop is ok once you get duel channel 3200mhz ram
like fortnite in performance mode high setting at 1080p you can get up to 144fps
but games like cyberpunk at 1080p low will get around 22fps - 32fps
but a 1650 will give you 38fps - 58fps at 1080p low
so the apu in this can not compare to a 1650
It has a dedicated GPU, a RX 5500M which is similar in performance to a 1650…
every site i saw specs just says it was using AMD Radeon Graphics so i was guessing it was the apu graphics
@jamesdeal: Fair but you might want to delete the comment because it might confuse folk.
Thoughts on 8gb RAM for Windows? Is it good enough these days?
It has an additional slot. Would recommend matching another 8gb, especially with how cheap RAM is these days.
Wouldn't touch anything with less than 16GB, as stated upgrade it immediately.
to get the best out of the apu you will need to get duel channel 3200mhz ram
Not a bad price, is quite an old model now thou. Was first released 3 months prior to Windows 11 coming out. (Came out with win10)
Needs the RAM doubled to make it more attractive.
Upgrading the RAM should be cheap and relatively easy but it's definitely an odd configuration for a gaming laptop.
Just curious, how much could you upgrade the RAM to on this laptop? Could you get it up to 64gb?
Can you get a 64GB DiMM?.only 1 slot on the main board.
@Dan Baker: Good point - i'd say options are limited in that case :(
@Dan Baker: Some sources say 2 dimm slots so hopefully that's the case
You'd have to check if the board / CPU/ BIOS supports it as well
