  • This will be my first ever Blu-Ray. I hope it's worth it :D

  • Err … isn't the complete Star Wars saga 9 movies?

    • Not when this was produced.

    • +1

EP 7-9 are garbage. They should have left it at 6.

      • Should have left it at 3!

  • do look for the silver screen edition online.

  • All the movies are available on Disney+, I think the special features will also be available somewhere.
What's the benefit of getting it on disk? The quality will be better on streaming.

So what? Is everyone in the world subscribed to Disney+? And what if I want to actually own the movies instead of just renting them for a monthly fee? Some people like to own movies, or records or paper books when all these things are available through streaming/digital as well. Also, you think highly compressed streaming video gives you better quality than physical media? It doesn't, it's just convenient that's all.

    • Yeah that's just wrong Bill. A blu-ray DVD will nearly always be technically better quality than streaming. Due to compression of the streaming service. Will it be enough to notice the difference? Perhaps not for the average person. But these things are dependant on so many factors. Your internet connection, time of day, streaming service, hardware and software you have…..

If you step up to 4k bluray DVD that definitely outstrips streaming every time. One of those will send 128Mbps of data to your TV whereas a streaming service tends to be around 17Mbps.
