PS Plus upto 50% off for new members

When you go to https://www.playstation.com/en-nz/ps-plus/ and scroll to the Playstation Plus section there is a paragraph saying:

However I can't seem to get the discount to appear no matter what I do, tried adding to cart using a new account, tried in both desktop and mobile…
Anyone had any luck with this?

    Maybe only the highest priced tier works with 50% off?

      It does not look like it, all tiers appear regular priced to me

      nope, its the lowest.

      Just purchased via my SG account so you'd need to check the NZ version, but it's 50% off the lowest, 30 off the mid, and 25 off the highest.
      My PS+ was expired (though Im not a new customer), so Im guessing that is the only requirement.

    Can confirm it’s still valid. I missed out on the Black Friday sale and membership had expired. $45 for the cheapest tier is best I’ve seen
