  • uh oh πŸ˜‚

  • I hope they do a 50% cashback on gym memberships and fitness equipment after new year to balance it out.

  • Damn, my card will be here within 5-10 working days!

Yeah, it kinda feels like Dosh could have planned this promo a bit better…

      • id agree, but in preparation for future, ive signed up for dosh, kiwiwallet and cashrewards.

From their PoV probably planned fine. Not like they gain anything from people shopping at McDonald's. People remembering and using their existing Dosh card cards is a small advantage, people who joined and haven't yet received their cards, well they hopefully haven't forgotten their cards yet. Getting new people to sign up that's want they really want. And the number of people pissed off who are going to cancel or refuse their Dosh card in the future is probably small. They may miss out on some word of mouth from people who haven't received their cards but I suspect isn't going to be major. It's likely true more people will sign up if there's a good chance they'd be able to use the deal so if they'd announced it with sufficient window, they will probably have gotten more signups but it's also a tricky time to plan something like probably need something like a 30 day window which runs the risk of people ignoring it since it's 30 days out. (Remembering also even if they say it's not guaranteed etc, the negative PR from people not receiving the cards may outweigh any gain from more signups.)

  • forgive my ignorance, but what's the advantage of Dosh apart from all of this cashback? contemplating whether to apply or not and whether there's benefit in having this one

    • Worth having it for the cashback offers they have been giving out, plus $5 free when using the referral code from someone.

      • Do both referer and referee each get a $5 bonus?

        • Just referrer

  • Haven’t got Dosh.

Is it worthwhile to get? What sort of cash back offers are there?

    • it's worthwhile as a free option. Various offers like 5% Countdown cashback, 15% Neat Meat discount, 8% Lululemon cashback, 4% Skechers cashback, and various others. Eventually I imagine it'll evolve into an e-wallet with a points system similar to how Grab Wallet is in asia.

Assume that you top up your account via bank transfer or is it oncharged to a credit card? Can you top up using credit card??

    • +1

you load your dosh wallet either via Windcave (instant) or Bank Transfer (delayed). No credit card top up yet.

  • Do you know is it once off up to 50 dollars. Or multiple up to 50 dollars?

    • based on how the T&Cs read, the 50% cashback value (no matter how many transactions) you can receive in total is $50. So just once.

  • Apologies for the double post - but do both referer and referee each get a $5 bonus within the current referral promotion?
