cash back/ rebate can be claimed here: the product must be installed and claim before February 12, 2023

https://claim.norton.com/anz/cashbacks/index.html?v=2.261022

If you have time left on your current (Norton). subscription, this doesn't mean you have to miss out on the rebate.

To claim the rebate you have to install and activate your new eligible retail product on at least one device between November 14, 2022 to February 12, 2023 inclusive.

Go ahead and install your new Norton product and then submit your claim online. Then contact Norton Customer Support and ask to have the remaining days on your old subscription transferred to the new one.

Please note: If your current Norton subscription is not the same product as your new one, the balance of remaining days may be different when transferred to the new product.

Alternatively, for mobile phone security
Norton Mobile Security (3 Devices - 12 Month) [Digital Download] $20 at JBhifi, and ($0) with cashback.

  • Genuinely curious, do people still use products from Norton?

Microsoft Defender + browser AdBlockers does the job for me.

      • That’s all I use.

      Norton is like Darth Vader,

Yeah their business model seems to be focused around getting older people scared into renewing their subscriptions each year. At least they are preloaded on less laptops, though McAfee has seemingly taken that unfortunate role

Norton and is a virus in itself. Nigh impossible to remove once it's on your machine, and not to mention the embedded crypto miner.

    • Antivirus turned into a virus, indeed.

  • To be fair it does have a number of functions such as vpn in nz and many countries, online storage that you don't get from Windows directly. etc. Also ratings appear to be better than Windows defender.

  • Norton and trend are really cheap with a commercial discount at noel leeming normally. They have some boxed units that are normally 10-20$ discounted but hundreds new.

It's a password manager, vpn product… Not really sure why you'd ever want this on your computer though.

    • Along with cash back, makes this a better deal than usual. Also if one wants to turn over noelleemings or jbhifi gift vouchers.

  • If you want your computer to run slower 🤷‍♂️…

    • Not noticeable different in regard to speed. Part of the speed issues are often related to cookies and number of unnecessary start up programs. Also software update bugs may also contribute from time ton time in regard to speed? Did you raise your concern in regard to speed based on personal experience on the latest version of Norton or what was reported in the past?
