Was just doing a monthly shop online and spotted some Amazon.com.au deals that may be helpful to community users. I'm noting that a few of the prices are similar to PNS/TWH prices on special at the moment, but the free delivery makes it worthwhile if you are doing a bulk shop.

Note you can save further 10% with subscribe and save but that further charges will apply depending on payment method RE exchange rates and your bank's foreign exchange fee (approximately 2.5%) and GST. Please check out after loading cart to checkout screen to see the total inc GST.

I've listed deals in AUD which are eligible for free shipping over AUD $49 spend deliverable to non-rural NZ address which are currently in stock (thanks @Wakrak for pointing out the site sisn't displaying correctly prices in NZD, even if you select "show in NZD" the prices are shown in AUD) . Please feel free to let me know if any items have expired / sold out:

Just noting that Quilton 3 Ply Toilet Tissue (180 Sheets per Roll, 11x10cm), Pack of 45 (9 Pack x 5 = 45) $24.75 is always good to add to the mix if you need to make up the $49. It definately gets cheaper if you keep an eye on it, but this is the current price.

Think the NZD option isn't working properly. Shipping for example is free with A$49 spend.

All of the prices above are in AUD I think.

I was wondering why my prices didn't change much although I had "show prices in NZD" on. Thanks for the update, I've amended my post

Just checking on a few of the above looks like they fixed this feature

  • any bulk tissues a good price right now?

    • Nothing hitting my radar at the moment. I only shop 3 ply rolls for value, so I am unfamiliar with 2 ply prices, but the Quilton 3 Ply 45 pack remains cheaper than any of my Grocer hits atm including Pam's 3 ply rolls. I still can't figure out how they keep shipping free for a large box of rolls from AUS lol

      • nah i dont need toilet paper (already bulked up on the quilton toilet paper from amazon!) im looking for boxed tissues now

      • How much cheaper is the 45pack when compared to PaknSave (Paseo) they almost come out to be the same once you factor in the NZD conversion and credit card fees?

        • so without getting into 2 ply / 3 ply wars (https://www.cheapies.nz/node/29012) or the fine calculations (RE: 2 ply - https://www.cheapies.nz/node/33825 - noting that 3-ply calculations haven't been discussed at length yet, I invite you to do that) the cheapest 3 ply tissue I can find is $17.00 Paseo for 24 rolls at Countdown on special at the moment. This is for 45 rolls. After 10% subscribe and save discount, plus conversion rate plus GST, I paid $25.88. which works out to $0.575 per roll with free delivery. even if you factor in a massive conversion rate and exchange rates, you shouldn't get beyond $28.50 for the purchase which could make it upto 0.63 per roll? If you buy the Paseo on special from Countdown, you pay $0.708 per roll without shipping.

Also, as a matter of preference, I don't like Paseo as the plys are not as thick? I think it's a matter of preference though and how you use it I guess.

  • Does anyone have any luck asking live support to give free shipping on stuff like the pringles where 1 flavour is FS and another is ~$10? I find quite often they only put 1 SKU with FS and not the rest of the variations.

I often look at this page, it's someone from Ozbargain

    https://www.shppngtrlly.com.au/amazon/daily/list

    • This is helpful, though you have to click through items one by one to see if they are eligible for free shipping to NZ. Thanks for this.
