Since there was a deal for 1kg Anchor (shortdated) at 12.49, I thought I would post this at Pak n Save where it's only 8.99/kg.
According to a check online this price may be applicable to the North Island. Plenty of stock at the Rongotai store where I bought this.

I had put Rongotai, but the admin has changed it.
I changed it. I couldn’t find a store called PNS Rongotai. But PNS Kilbirnie is on Rongotai Road.
Was just double checking that that was the store you were referring to. You’re in Wellington so I’m guessing so.
$8.99 is just a usual price in Auckland stores like slivia park, royal oak and mt albert. It is much cheaper than other brand though.
It's part of their price lockdown/last years prices or whatever they call it. Went down a few months ago after going up for a few months. Like their ~$9.99 1kg cheese (although this started off as $9.49, also depending on the store it might be not their brands), $4.99 butter, $1.39 table spread and for a while they also had their 1kg rice at $1.79 (that's gone up to $2.29 or something). Also others I can't recall and some stuff not under their brands e.g. Chesdale 250g cheese slices $2.79 (started off $2.49)
Guessing Rongotai is Kilbirnie OP?
