Frozen dessert? Whats different about it that it cant be called ice cream?
Frozen ice cream needs something like 10% milk fat (butter fat?)
Whereas frozen dessert doesn’t, and so is likely to have vegetable oil instead
I bought one and checked the ingredients

Ice Cream contains 10% milk fat
Note that it states "…frozen dessert" above the ingredients on the actual packaging(tub). It is advertised as "Ice Cream" from New World (supermarkets), which I guess is legally okay then? I randomly checked Tip Top's Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream and it states "Ice Cream" on the packaging and the ingredients are slightly different where "frozen dessert" seems to have higher content of "vegetable fat(or emulsifier?)" and no "cream" :)
Doesn't sound quite so appealing when you read the ingredients….

To me it looks like they are saying the ingredients (of the frozen dessert) then down the bottom after the ingredients are finished amd after a full stop and on a new line it says that ice cream has 10% milk fat. Its very sneaky
Also the ingredients on new world website are different than the picture posted.

@Avatar: The only reason I can think of is because it's probably a jelly rather than a jam… Like the Pics Boysenberry jelly. Made with fruit puree, but less added sugar.
