UK Parcel Forwarding to NZ. Any Forwarding Company Recommendations

I am buying a MTB rear shock from the UK but seller does not ship to NZ but has free UK shipping.

Any recommendations on a suitable forwarding company to use for the UK. I have used USGoBuy for my purchases from the US and they have been great. Just need similar for the UK now.
What is NZ Post YouShop like as I see they do UK shipping?

I have used YouShop in the past - many years ago.

It worked fine (I don't recall any issues at least). I can't remember what it cost, and it would be out of date anyway, so cannot comment on whether it is good value or not.

There is also OPAS which I haven't used myself - not sure if they ship from the UK to NZ or not:

    • Thanks, never heard of OPAS I see they do UK.
I see YouShop charges NZ GST on all items :(

I've used OPAS a couple of times shipping from the US. The processing was a lot faster than YouShop and they were way cheaper. They have a pretty decent sign-up discount too, or they did when I used them at least.

I use Youshop a bit (most recently about a month ago) and while they are not cheap, they are reliable. You get notifications every step of the way and can see the parcel tracking very easily on the website.

I have never had any issues with them so happy to endorse.

  • OP, have you tried USgobuy "pick up " service ? Do they pick up from local stores like walmart or bestbuy stores in US when we order for curbside pick up?

    • I have not used that feature. I have just ordered from a number of US shops over a month and used the free consolidation option and reduced packaging to save on shipping costs.

  • For USA most of the forwarders tend to charge GST even if below threshold. Might be similar to uk.

As you identified youshop uk will charge GST.

    • USGoBuy didn't charge GST last time I used them about 18months? ago but that might have changed since. I guess they all do more than $60,000/yr in transactions and are now GST registered now so they can do that which makes it a fair playing field for NZ companies.
