I just recieved two of these and seems pretty good (shipped yesterday). There is no color difference between the 2 units and no dead pixels either. It is using the same Nano-IPS panel as LG 27GL850 which is still NZ$900+ here, but downside is Dell does not have sRGB model while LG does.

I don't think there is any QHD 165Hz IPS from a good brand at slightly above NZ$400 so this will be a good deal.

  • Bought this from the recent deal. Great value, but the HDR is so so.
First one I got was DOA, and half the left screen was displaying bright green/pink pixels even if there was no input detected.
But dealing with Dell was straightforward, and they shipped a replacement straight away and organised pickup of my defective one without delay.

  • I am after a budget monitor for photo editing. Anyone know how this one is? https://www.computerlounge.co.nz/shop/peripherals/monitors/h…

$400 for IPS 4K monitor is not bad I guess?

For photo editing might better look for a monitor with 100% sRGB color space. Samsung's site does not list the color space for the monitor above so I guess the monitor does not really care much about color accuracy.

  • Is this regular price or sale? Keen on it but don’t know if I can spring for it right away.

  • Is this a better deal/monitor than the
    PRISM+ XQ340 PRO 34" QLED 165Hz 1ms Curved Ultrawide WQHD that’s currently down to $622?

Depends on how big you want. Prism+ is same as Titan Army in PBTech, you can go to PBTech and give it a try on Titam Army monitors see if you like them.
Exchange with Amazon AU will be more trouble than Dell NZ.

checkout the dell S3422DWG - ~$580 with the affiliate + student codes

      • Cool price, does that include shipping?

Anyone used this model previously. It's cool to have a competitive option from a major brand available.

        • Yea I'm pretty sure it does. I haven't heard anything bad about it at least. The odd review I see has black bars on arrival etc but they say Dell always replaces them no questions asked. Compared to the other ultrawides of this size / specs this seems to be the best deal

          • @marklar: Yeah checked and it does, nice.

Last question is Dell S3422DWG vs Xiaomi Mi 34" UltraWide QHD?

@Jaxson: My votes with the Dell, warranty and build quality seem pretty good.

The effective price now comes to $392.36 after applying the affiliate and student discount codes.

  • Why is this tagged as expired? affiliate and student codes still work for me.

    • The price is different. OP can change it though if he/she wants to.

      • +1

I’ve updated the price and removed the expiry.

  • Anyone kind enough to share a student code? Won't work on my email
