YMMV but there are concerns around magnetic USB cables causing sparking/electrical issues/burning. I’d be particularly concerned with lower quality cables like these. Was my main reason for avoiding them anyways, as the convenience was a big attractor and safety concerns are not immediately obvious.

You've gotta be careful with the connection on these because you can end up spiking the chip on your earphones for instance. I did that on my turtle beach earphones but manage to do a factory reset and recovered them. I still use them for certain things but you must make sure the conditions are clean otherwise they can connect and disconnect rapidly.

yeah usb c is a bit suspect on these given how much power they carry. much higher than micro usb.

Just a safety warning on these sort of magnetic cables https://www.reddit.com/r/UsbCHardware/comments/motlhn/magnet…

I use them on my cheap TWS earbuds since I don't care if they die, but be wary about short circuits and overheating since the build quality on the cables / connectors can be iffy sometimes.

If you do want convenient charging for your phone look into getting a wireless or magsafe charger (but only if your phone supports such a feature).

Other than safety issues as above, this thing is actually worth like $4 (with just 1 plug though).
Just mass produced in china and sold at stores with 500% mark up.

Approx $4.50 NZD delivered in fact.
I personally wouldn't consider this much of a deal, sorry OP
