I'm looking to get sunglasses with uv protection and polarised in the rayban wayfarer or Justin style but the branded ones seem heavily overpriced. Anyone know where you can get a similar product for cheaper?
Looking for cheap sunglasses

These actually look really decent. Thanks heaps! How much were they on sale btw?
From memory I think it was 50% off
Oh snap that's solid
@chikenbums: Yeah indeed; hence I grabbed a few pairs…but tbh, I wouldn't hesitate buying them again even with out a special…just love em! haha and no I am not affiliated :P
@AleBeerenhoff: questionable haha, nah kidding. I might get me "a gingers soul", looks mint. the names funny too haha
Try this site https://www.contactconnection.co.nz/search?search=Rayban I got genuine Raybans (Justin style) from them far cheaper than anywhere else. They even put them on a fast courier from Sydney as I needed them in time for a holiday.
are you sure this is genuine? this seems too good to be true
yeah are these legit ?
I was just testing it out and put an item in my cart to go to checkout and the website is so poorly designed and I could put through an order without even putting my address in. There is no way this website is legit
@chikenbums: yikes
I agree the website looks pretty crap but they are genuine sunglasses with a proper case. I remember chatting to their online support at the time but there doesn't appear to be that option now. Have gone back to the invoice email (from 2015) and it has this at the bottom:
Contact Connection NZ Provider Number: 2868017L
NIB Provider Number: 10092380
Contact Connection NZ is a subsidary of Eyedeal Pty Ltd - ABN 46 125 781 259The ABN checks out. They're online only but suspect most of their sales are contact lenses. NZ site looks identical to their Australian one. The payment page is via Stripe and it does say at the top of it "Delivery address entered on next page". Not sure how they're processing payment without a billing address?? Worst case put it thru via PayPal and get it charged back if they don't arrive/are fake. Considering RayBan website has them at $189 (non polarised) and the markup must be huge, its not an outrageously cheap price. Remove store costs and they probably still make a decent profit off their current prices.
I have no affiliation with them and buyer beware. Just got a good deal thru them many years ago. Still have the sunglasses.
I've been rocking Tifosi lately. Swick specifically.
Can get a few dollars off with the Synergy code or Club special + $10 off $50.
https://www.torpedo7.co.nz/brands/tifosi?formAction=search&s…Hyper Ride sometimes has em on clearance too. Got a pair for $28ish a while back.
https://www.hyperride.co.nz/products/brand/916/tifosi?pgSort…Thanks for sharing, not really the style I was after unfortunately
Will take a look, just looking at the other comment made by mpc, do you reckon that website is legit? cant find much about them and seems dodgy. but I'd take polarized rayban Justins for $140
@chikenbums: Onceit is definitely legit. Or are you referring to Contact Connection? If the latter, yeah their website looks a bit suss.
@Wakrak: was referring to contact connection yeah
Any glasses made of polycarb provides UV protection due to the material absorbing UV.
You just have to watch for glass lenses, as glass does not absorb UV so needs a coating.
Not sure if they are specifically the same style you are after; but I am an advocate for these dudes - https://goodr.co.nz/
Grabbed a few pairs last time they had a sale and am well impressed both as a solid sunglass but also from the context of being great to run with (ie no bouncing, and comfort)
