Disney+ Annual Plan Cancelled (Turkey Subscription)

Has anyone had their Disney plus annual subscription cancelled? It happened out of the blue this morning for me. No explanation, just Google Play subscription has been cancelled and the full annual membership refunded (which is problematic also as it was with a digital wise card that was deleted)

  • Yep and same here re: Wise.

    • Where to now for us o-wise one…

  • Oh that's rough. How long had you had the subscription for?

    • Since October 2022 so about half a year?

      • Wouldn't that be over a year?

  • I had the same come through this morning. Had it since July last year.

Looks like they're cracking down hard on overseas subscribers over turkey subscriptions!

I had a look to restart it and the price has almost doubled too

  • I wondered what was going on.
Same for me - had since July 2022

  • Same here. So good while it lasted. Where to next?

    • I’m not too worried about my Disney+ as I hardly watch it.
      Just don’t cancel my Netflix!

Mine was cancelled earlier today & it says been refunded. Even the wise digital card is deleted out of your wallet the refunds will go back in to your account. I have received refunds that are month old this way, but the sub was made last year. Will be interesting to see if money reached the wise wallet!

My money has been refunded in full and is back on my Wise card now.

Just used my regular credit card and the money came straight back. Essentially free for 5 months, can't complain!

  • I just logged into mine without any issue. Also no refund yet on my (Wise) card.
    Fingers crossed I got skipped

Can you resign up/renew your subscription again using same method before?

Renewed sub for 649 Liras for a year, lets see how long before they cancel and refund the amount :D

  • Just received the refund. 349.90 TRY

    • Still waiting for mine :/

      • Still waiting on mine several days later. Might have to chase it up.

  • Yep, received full refund back on wise as everyone else.

  • RIP - I just received the email too. Had it since July '22 and the email stated I'd get all my money back, although I haven't seen it appear yet.

    • In my case it took about an hour and a half from the email arriving to the money being returned to my Wise account.

  • Faark !! Was thinking of starting The Americans tonight :'(

    • Channel Arrrrrrr  🏴‍☠️

  • Same here. And I just resubscribed at 649 TRY. Hope this time it will last longer

  • Anyone who subbed via Apple lose their sub? Mine seems ok and was annual sub

  • Do wha chu want because a pirate is FREE! You are a pirate!

  • Just found out today. Resubbed immediately as TRY prices still cheaper than NZD.

Can't left behind on the Simpsons! xD

  • Cannot use wise card. Says country doesn’t match location. This is despite using vpn.

  • Anyone know how to re-sub with diensyplus now?

  • No issues with sub through apple

  • Anybody using Apple and have this happen?

  • I’ve been on an annual subscription purchased through Turkey Apple App store since July and no issues

  • My time is up for renewal, wondering if any of you saw any comeback after resubscribing? I was paying NZ prices but now's it skyrocketed up to $190 a year think I'm off to Turkey next month.

    • After mine was refunded in April last year I managed to resubscribe again and it lasted the whole year - right up until yesterday when the sub ended.
Unfortunately the Google Play method no longer works but I think subscribing through iTunes and the Turkey Apple store may still work. I’m not going to bother trying yet as the price has jumped up massively to 1,349.90 TL/year - still a lot less than in NZ but more than double what it was.

      • I think the value of the lira has dropped significantly hence the increase. I was wondering the same about the increase and check on google. Its still only $70 ish nzd. Only around $10 nzd more than the 650 lira a year ago.
