Not a bad deal for a last gen phone. 128gb only and the black colour.
This is $99 more expensive than the open boxed units that were on mightyape's return page recently.

$100 repair is still about but noit sure how long after release it lasts - It still applies to my Flip4.
I skipped the 3 but had the OG & 4 & have loved them both
oh noticed I said 'comped'… you'll still pay $100
One (vodafone) has these for about the same over a 24month plan in Lavender & Cream.
It's a daily deal so it ends today OP
I have this phone and overall quality is no where the price I paid. The phone had dead pixcels in the second month of purchase. Samsung repaired the phone but should have replaced it. Battery is a pain. Some of the apps like google fit won't work. Samsung Dex doesn't work. Be careful before you buy expensive Samsung stuff.
Of course it's not pricey at this price now compared to what I paid - $1699
Would you be happy to recommend this for $699 then? I am so tempted to get this, but a bit weary of the battery and pixel issues from reviews. I understand it's no where near what you paid, but for $1000 less… would you still buy it?
No, S20fe has far better camera and battery for that price.
S20fe
In New Zealand you might get one with an exynos chip and you might get one with a snapdragon chip. NL sold both for a while. One is a hell of a lot better than the other! So watch what you get.
@Grandma: 100% of the non parallel imported use the exynos, the only way to get the snapdragon is to buy from a parallel imported supplier. The latest s23 gen all use stapdragon I believe.
@GraphiteEdge: I believe that! But we absolutely briefly had snapdragon skus through noel leeming.
It could have been a covid supply contstraint thing? Idk.. it was a while ago, at latest 2021
I was interested to see on their advert it DID NOT say Flip 3 . You had to clik into the advert to find that out. IDK but I'd guess many people wouldn't even be aware the Flip 4 is out now…..
thanks OP. I wanted to try a foldable but wasn't wanting to fork out huge $$$ on something I wasn't sure I'd like, at $699 though its now at a price point where I'm happy to "buy it to try it". chose local pickup, store says they have it in stock, but my receipt says ready for pickup in 3-7 working days… :(
Thanks OP. Could you please send the link to the mighty ape returns page you mentioned in your post.
https://www.mightyape.co.nz/profiles/MightyApe
It's under marketplace and is mostly returns
Yup the 3300 battery really is the sticking point, I got rid of mine after 3 months. With the battery being split (between the top and bottom parts) you loose quite a bit because of the hinge.
Trade off, Hinge\Foldable vs Battery life….
I had one of these phones for a few months. The black colour is really easy to scuff, I found that the internal screen was working very well but I only had the phone for around 6 months.
Battery is a very sore point, I ended up turning off 5g. The upright laptop-y mode was great for youtube over dinner.
If someone could please double check, When I worked for NL these phones had a $100 first-repair cost if the display is damaged, comped by samsung. I'm not sure if this is still the case now that it's essentially clearance.
