I was actually looking at wireless chargers today. You can get 15W wireless charger for like $17 or less on Temu, with free shipping. I've only started using Temu recently but damn I'm impressed. Shipping is fast and there's a price guarantee, where they'll refund you the difference if the price of the product you purchased changes within 30 days. And the coupons you get from the previous purchase are usable in the next purchase too, so I ended up buying way more things on it than on Aliexpress.

I would also recommend getting a wireless charger than can do 50W or more. I ended up buying a Xiaomi 80W wireless charger for like $90 including free shipping. Sure, most phones don't support wireless charging past 45W, but it's future proof and at 3x the price it is delivering wireless charging at more than 3x the amount. Most phones these days support at least 30W~45W charging and most wireless chargers don't support that, so it's kinda a waste of money getting a 20W or 15W charger.

    Just my 2 cents.

Yeah really depends on what your devices do, I wouldn't spend to far ahead of what you're device is capable of as the wireless charging standard will also improve, don't want to be stuck with something old.

But these could be handy for some peoples projects or those that prefer to shop local

Most phones aren't capable of more than 15W, so even 30W is overkill for a fair while yet. With the speed in which the tech will advance, no point spending so much on a high W charger now as they'll be much cheaper by the time you have a device to use with it

      • The flagship Apple and Samsung can only do max 15W wireless. With Samsung, you need their official wireless charger otherwise it’s limited to 10W!

      • One of the points I made is that you can get a 20W wireless charger from Aliexpress for less than $20. It's all about value for money.

I wish the world would compete with the Chinese market when it came to charging speeds. I love my Samsung Fold but the charging speed kills the whole experience. Using an Oppo with 80-watt charging literally changed my life and switching back to Samsung felt so unsatisfying. If more people experienced these charging speeds they would be absolutely sold on making this a smartphone priority.

      • What's your hurry to charge? Is the battery life really bad so you need to charge it multiple times a day? I (fast) charge my Galaxy while I'm sleeping, no hurry.

        • The Folds due to their form factor have small batteries so you need to charge during the day.

Time is money. Charging overnight is actually bad for the battery, as it stays connected to the charger constantly for longer than it requires. Some chargers and cables don't support overcharging and this is why there is the infamous Samsung galaxy s7 blow up case. It also depends on usage. My phone has a very good screen on time (about 11 hours) and yet if I use heaps it heaps during the day to play games or whatever, it will still drain the battery pretty quickly. Having a fast charger to bring it back up to 100% within a few mins is always better than waiting hours for it to charge. Companies are improving the charging technology over time, so obviously they see a point doing so. It is the same reason for electric cars, the faster they can charge, they better. I bet you wouldn't want to wait even just 30 mins to charge your car when you need to use it urgently while on a trip or something. They will always be situations that you can't predict.

        • The hurry to charge is about getting 20%+ charge in 2-3 minutes, and it has been a lifesaver whenever I forgot to charge beforehand. I have a Xiaomi Mix 4 with the included 120W fast charger.

As for battery lifespan, I'll toss the old battery in a year's time, if I haven't switched to a foldable (Mix Fold 2 or Honor Magic Vs, or something new) by then.

    • Isnt wireless charging in China limted to 50w? I recall it being limited by the chinese govt because anything above 50w was scalling really badly and the energy for wireless charging at levels abovd that was just lost in heat.

    • How fast is Temu shipping? which courier?

      • About a week with DHL I think

People are also forgetting that it is TOTAL charging output. You can charge multiple devices at the same time using just one wireless charger. I have a smartwatch and earbud and other things that I can charge easily at the same time with my phone. If you have a wireless charger that charge at low wattage, then it can't charge all of them.

  • Alternatively, I bought 2x wireless usb-c chargers from Aliexpress about 5 months ago for about $20 that have been fantastic - I've used them daily. Arrived in less than 2 weeks (closer to 1 week)

Aliexpress can be full of junk if you don't use diligence, but aim for the more popular items and you can be fairly confident with what you're getting. Regardless the dispute service is also pretty damn good if there's any issues.

    • Dispute service is pretty much a guaranteed refund if you're a diamond member. I've used Aliexpress for years and anytime I need to get a refund, I get full customer service without any hassles. BangGood on the other hand is trash, avoid that at all costs.

      • I'm just a regular member/I have no idea what a diamond member is. But yep, their customer service is well aware of the scams the sellers try to pull too so I feel like if they see any of them try it, they just automatically grant the refund.

        • You can check your account. Essentially the more things you buy from Aliexpress, the higher your membership becomes. Diamond member is the highest and you may receive up to 15% discount on certain products, among other perks.
