  • Thanks, just got another 300L

  • I can see $1.99 for 91 in Drury, might be picking price from Puke.

But skeptical now, as others mentioned Z can give you a notice of 90 days before scrapping sharetank, what would I do then? Cant burn so much fuel in a month.

    • Sell it to friends at cost?

Like I said then, there's no way they can get away with that. Worst case they'd have to refund you. CGA applies here too, don't believe the nonsense.

Previous conversation you're referring to (for those that are interested)

      • they just dont want you hoarding as its a liability for them but you can see in the terms they have a large cap.

"Fuel purchased on Sharetank does not expire, but you must use your Sharetank Balance within a reasonable period of time after purchase." (their get out of jail clause)

"You can add up to 1,000 litres of fuel to your Sharetank balance in any single transaction. The balance of each fuel grade in in your Sharetank account cannot exceed 1,200 litres. Your Sharetank purchases cannot exceed 12,000 litres per fuel grade over a 12-month period."

  • Thanks OP. Just purchased 100L #91.

  • Drat. Those Z stations in the far South Auckland are outside the Z app 30km zone for us on the Northshore. :( (I'm personally not prepared to risk Z catching me out using that GPS spoof method, even if the risk of detection is low…). I'm thinking that as those far South Auckland Z stations , Papakura etc are still within the 12 cent regional fuel tax zone theft, we may see that big fuel discounting in the far south there, 91 down to $2.00 odd, spread north into Manukau/Wiri Auckland areas, and so access for some more of of us in Z's sharetank 30km zone….. .

    • What do you suppose the risk is exactly? Money refunded? Oh no…

  • Purchased 1000L. Thanks OP.

    • WOW - isn't that like 20 full tanks of fuel? How long do you project that will last you? Seems like a fairly good bet with the price likely going up once the subsidy ends and the end of this month.

        Possibly the whole year :-)

  • Thanks OP, bought another 250L. Unfortunately no bonus liters this time.

  • No more…

  • looks like it gone, showing $2.249/L for 91 now on Sharetank

  • SOB! I got distracted… bye bye deal

    • same here, costco was $2.08 today so i spent an extra $3.20

  • Is there anyway to search for the cheapest Z station throughout the country at any one point in time? I've only been able to search the 100 KM max distance in Gaspy from any one single location. The Gaspy website has a few of the cheapest stations throughout the country listed but can't filter by Z only.

https://www.gaspy.nz/stats.html is about the only way that I'm aware of.

Maybe we could make a list of Z stations that match, or drop with, nearby discounters like Gull? Likely very few of them though.

      • You can "favourite" with alerts certain Z stations in the Gaspy app so that could work.
