  • Managed to buy cream S23 ultra with the restock a few mins ago, total came in as $1,204 with 45W charger and smart view case. Not sure if it got more expensive or if its because of the accessories.

  • Wonder is the S23 or S23+ 256gb cream gonna come back in stock later 😔

  • SERVICE15 and DAD2023 don't seem to work any more.

    • Head office must've found out they were giving their stuff away.

      • Bugger still waiting them to come back in stock….

    • Ahhh yup. I had a cart full and those codes have been stripped off and I can't reapply them. Doesn't tell you that you can't, it just doesn't apply them anymore.

  • Hmmm, looks like all the S23 range is either out of stock or coming soon.

  • Anybody able to track the orders? I get please contact customer service.

    • Are orders shipped from NZ, or South Korea, or Vietnam (main factory)??

      • My order was placed at about 1am Wednesday morning, and it arrived this morning (thursday), so must be local.

    • Nah! Just shows "On the way" in my account.

    • I had the same message yesterday.
Today that got updated and is now saying "We are preparing your order for shipment. No order updates from the carrier yet."
Also, there is a Fliway tracking number at the bottom, which is not active yet.

      • Phone got delivered yesterday.

  • Bleh looks like I was too slow for this, coupons and stock not there anymore :(

  • Placed order by yesterday noon and still shows processing for me. No sign of dispatch yet.

  • Mine was dispatched yesterday and got the phone just now. Went with S22 as S23 were out of stock. Glad I did it instead of waiting for S23, knew the deal wouldn’t last long!

  • Ordered two S23 128GB on Tuesday and had them delivered today with NZPost

Ordered S23 Ultra 512gb last night at about 8:30pm. Must have got the last one by the look of it as the 256gb cream one I had in my cart disappeared earlier! Just got an email to say everything has been sent. Thankfully! An amazing deal when you look at the amount saved. Thanks OP.

  • SERVICE15 still not working

  • The deal stacking no longer seems to be working

  • I ordered s23 128gb in black on 1/8/23, arrived 3/8/23. Ended up paying $880 with 2x chargers (15w & 25w) and cashing in 900 reward points, gutted it wasnt as good a deal as what others were getting as i couldnt get the final 10% code - it wasnt showing in my members app and i couldnt get through on chat. But even at $880 thought it was a good deal and had the feeling either stock would run out or codes would stop working. After reading the comments here confirming my hunch Im glad I clicked order.

    • I could have got the phone + case $45 + screen protector $25 for $750 on 1 Aug but didn't buy as I thought it was a lot for something I didn't need. But then I was on sick leave and found I had to charge my phone 3 times a day (when at work I only charge once a day as I don't really have time to touch it). Oh well, lol.

  • Back in stock

  • Sadly the cheapest i van get the s23 256gb is $1113.99

    • Got the Flip5 512GB for that much

  • hashtag newphonelife … thing doesn't sit flat on the table (camera lenses) as I sit here logging into dozens of apps and trying to control the crap and notifications that this thing produces. Sits OK in the clearview case of course but that case is definitely overpriced.

Has anyone had issues with their new phone not having Play Protect certification?

To check, go into your Play Store> click on profile > settings > about > scroll to the bottom. It should say that it's certified, otherwise you will have issues with some apps and your phone may not update. I am waiting for Samsung to reply to my ticket. Curious to see if anyone has this problem.

    • Just had a look my s23 Ultra also has no play protect certification!

[Edit] It seems like the newest update kills it. But you can fix it by going into settings —> apps —> force stop google play services —> click on storage —> clear cache —> manage storage —> Clear all data…
Then repeat the steps again for google play store. Seems to have fixed it for me. Also not sure if it helps but the google account https://myaccount.google.com/security showed that I had a new recent activity which was the new phone and I clicked that It was me for it to be recognised. I didnt have it recognised before.

      • Thanks for the tip. But that didn't seem to have worked for me sadly.

        • I first did the Google account recognize thing first then did the storage data clear steps. Restart the phone. Did the storage clear steps again. And restart. Went through those steps a few times and saw the certification came up. Hopefully that might help fix it for you but I had a quick Google and it's seems like people got the certification issue after the phone update.

        • +1

Yeah same issue for my S23 Ultra as well with Play Store not certified.

The above workaround with clearing data and cache with forced stop for both Play Service and Play Store, restart didn't work.

Quick Googling so far haven't found any clear solution yet.
Hopefully the next security patch/ update solves the issue without me needing to factory reset (so I can use my Macca app :p)

    • +1

I got my s23 a day ago and im having the same issue, have tried all these steps and still not working so have lodged my issue with samsung and they said they are aware of the issue. Hopefully it gets fixed soon!

      • Hey, I also lodge an issue with Samsung and they told me I need to bring it to the service center to get it physically check. Not sure if this is the right thing to do since it seems like a software issue. Do you think I am wasting my time bringing it in?

        • +1

I would do a factory reset without transferring any data from your old device.

          • @pdevonporf: Physical check is most likely a waste of time unless if they can run software check, but imo we can do that remotely at home with good instruction by the support team.

I concur factory reset without transferring might be the best way to go, assuming the security patch update is not kept.
Given the Play System Update was released 2 months ago (June 1st), might be worth a shot resetting.

            • @fretrunner11: I did a factory reset without importing any data and still no luck.

              • @Captured1v1: Yeah it's weird. I think on my second factory reset it certified momentarily…
but my Macca app still didn't so tried factory reset again… and now my Play Store is not certified again 😭.

I'll keep trying factory reset/deleting the cache+storage, I'll report back if any luck for recertify again (already did 4th/5th already - not sure what did the trick with the second attempt).

Just of interest, does McDonald app work for people with new S23 / S23 Ultra without triggering the error code (stating that the phone is modded when it's not), for BOTH with or without Play Store certify issue?

                • +1

@fretrunner11: Just checked on S23 Ultra (Play store certified), The McDonalds app works fine, tried redeeming and works as usual.

                  • @Tomo: Thanks for the response!
I really wonder how you got it certified haha!

I've tried the following methods with no luck:
                    - recognize https://myaccount.google.com/security
                    - for both Play Service & Play Store: force stopped > deleted cache > deleted storage > restart phone +/- delete cache / storage again after reboot.
                    - factory reset

                    Google searches so far:
                    1) Reddit thread confirms that there is no guaranteed quick fix for all, with the method above do not guarantee resolution, with consensus being just waiting for the security patch/firmware update:
                    https://www.reddit.com/r/samsung/comments/13chkc8/s23u_is_no…

                    2) There is manual certification method using Device ID / GSF but sounds like you need to delete Play store / Play service, and install with Zip file - a method I would avoid while under warranty period just in case.

I'll keep trying the delete cache/storage, restart method until they roll out the next firmware / security update.

                    • +1

@fretrunner11: Yea, tbh I had no idea how it ended up being certified since i was just spamming those steps. I just read a post on reddit about deleting the cache and storage and restarting the phone. Tried around 3 times and it suddenly got certified. Hopefully samsung rolls out a new update soon to have it fixed up for you guys.

                      • +2

@Tomo: Catpured1v1 and I got it certified today with the following steps (Tomo's method - thanks!):

                        Under Settings > App:
                        1) Google Play Services: Clear cache, then go to manage storage and then clear all data
                        2) Google Play Store: Clear cache then clear all data
                        3) Restart phone
                        4) Wait about 15min+

                        NB:
                        i) We have done these steps countless times (10+) so we have no idea what was different this time round.
ii) No force stop needed for my case
iii) The Play Store Certification status row (found: Play Store > Profile > Settings > About: last row under Update Play Store / Learn More) does not show up in the first ~ 15-30 min.

The way to know it's certified is if the McDonald app work without the error message (something re: phone is rooted/modified when it is not). My McDo app was working already within 3~5min of restarting the phone.
at time of writing it has been 30min and mine still doesn't show the certified status despite restarting the phone few times, while Macca app remains to work.

              • +2

@Captured1v1: My McDonald's app is randomly working now, woohoo!

  • Please share if anyone found new voucher code!

Anyone else's order still stuck on processing?

  • Got the phone two days ago. Pretty impressive hardware. Was lucky to get the deal before the coupons expired. Funny thing is i got a call from samsung customer service offerring a 10% off coupon on the things i left in the cart. I had planned to get the new s9 tab but it seemed overly expensive

    • +1

Got mine today, funnily enough I got a call from Samsung this morning too coz I had items in my cart still and they were offering a 10% off code to entice me to buy stuff.
While on the call i asked them about whats happening with my already purchased order because their tracking link wouldn't give me a tracking number and just as soon as I give them my order number the courier comes knocking with the package 😂

May want to check ozbaragin for the other tablet deals depending on your needs:

      • I've received my Samsung S 23 and accessories but still waiting for my two flip phones and two Samsung 47 classic watches. I have had an email apologising for the delay and a 10% discount code and welcome code and today I get a text saying delay will be 10 days and another 10% discount code. Getting all that stuff at half price I can't really complain.

        • damn did you spend like $5-7k

if the 2x 10% stack that's an nice bonus too

          • @Huntakillaz: I got a 10% off code from "did you forget something", and one from the members app, but they don't stack.

Currently I can order a Flip 5 512GB for a net price of $1137 (after the $100 Amex credit) but I don't like the long and thin form of the Flip, and the battery size is not attractive.

          • +1

@Huntakillaz: 2x Z flip5 phone and 2x watch6 classic 47 Bluetooth including accessories = $2660 and $840 for the S23 256gb smart cover and 15-amp charger. Unfortunately, you cannot stack the10% bonus. The good old days you got 15% -10% -10% (layby) minus the three other codes.

            • @pdevonporf: I don't follow samsung so no idea on this. Do you know what will be the good price for watch6 classic? Around $300? Was thinking of getting it as a gift for someone.

              • @ace310: People been selling them for $300-500 on Facebook Marketplace, depending on the size/model

              • +1

@ace310: You might see quite a few 43s on trademe for around $400 as they were given away as incentives on new phones. The 47 on the $3000 phones so you won't see many on trade me so they will be around 500 because they are a more popular size.

                • @pdevonporf: Shoot. Just the watch with codes and accessories was around $320 before 10% code. Should have bought it.

          • @Huntakillaz: 2x10% royalty coupon doesn't stack
