Hate artificial sweeteners. Can they just do plain unflavored.

    • Yeah I used to like the unflavored stuff from MyProtein, but the price benefit to purchasing from that site is no longer there

  • use 'teamgg' for a discount code.
i bought two tubs earlier in the week and the above code gave $5 off.

    • Thoughts on the flavours?

Vanilla, banana and salted caramel are all good.
        Choc is a bit average.

They're due to drop more flavours in the 2kg soon, very limited at present

      • Vanilla gets worse if you have it consistently. I struggled to finish the two bags I bought

  • That protein powder is very low quality! Hence cheap, I don't think it's worth it!

What makes good and low quality protein powder?

      • Some of the cheaper ones are bulked out with fillers.
I have no problem with quality on this one.

this protein is good for the price. i check how many grams the scoop is and how much protein per serving.

the chocolate flavour (subjectively) tastes really, really bad. would not recommend

    • the vanilla is ok, a bit too sweet

  • I can't believe how much gym people pay for someone to put a label on whey powder. That's about 60c worth 🤣

Where do you buy from now that most bulk places have put their prices up considerably?

Again, my recommendation is the 2kg INC WPI when it's on sale at chemist warehouse for $60 (2 * 60 - $10 off email sign up = waaaaaay better value). Or even the concentrate at $0.85/serve.

Both are good with milk or water (and my partner and I both usually dislike protein with water).

    • Miss the days of getting the INC Shred Max WPC for $32.49 :(

      • I miss Davis being cheap for bulk :(

        • Haha, about $250 for 20kg wasn't it?

        • Davis? Which one is that?

          • @Latex Fist: Davis Trading - they do bulk plain (no flavouring) 20kg bags of whey powder from Fonterra

            • @mpc: Is it still possible to snag

              • +1

@Kirkitplayer3: I bought a 10 kg bag (100 serves) of hemp protein powder (unflavoured) for $30 on clearance from Davis Trading in Petone. This was a couple of weeks ago. They only had a few bags so didn't post as a deal!

                • @Shaz: Does it taste any good?

                  • @mpc: Yes, not too bad at all! Took a few days to get used to! It's got a really "earthy" taste and is a lovely green/brown colour! I've been mixing with soy milk and some flavour syrup or fruit! One serve is 40 grams of protein so I have been doing a half serve = 20 grams of protein (plus protein from milk) which is more in line with other protein powders I have had. So this bag will do 200 serves for me which is amazing value!!

  • Remember to use coupon code TEAMGG - the total with shipping then becomes $51.44
