Notice: Dell Monitor Add-on Refund

I just got an email from Dell regarding getting a refund for the monitor that I purchased with this bundle

It's due to the ACCC:

I didn't think we were are eligible but seems we are too.
So check for any add-on monitor purchases(https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/dell-australia-declare…):

Consumers paid more than $2 million for add-on monitors between August 2019 and mid-December 2021. Dell Australia has been ordered to offer full or partial refunds to affected consumers. Some consumers have already been contacted and Dell Australia will now contact other consumers eligible for a refund.

  Got my refund today for that deal, $1144. Makes the deal so much better :)

    For sure, mine came through today.

    Had already sold my monitor back when I got it lol
    so basically spent ~2K for the rest now instead of $3.1K

  How long did it take people to get their refund?

  I got confirmation that the refund was processed and that it would take 1 to 3 days to show up in my nominated bank account. That was over a week and a half ago.

    Within 5 business days. But can take upto 10.

      Another question - what Bank details did you provide Dell for them to process the refund?

      They sent me 'proof' that it was sent (a print out of their payment software that was used), whilst the account number details were correct, it was missing the SWIFT BIC number for international payments.

  Wait you actually recieved computers. I canceled my order when they said it would take 7 month's to deliver

      Good for you. Was a good deal before 1k cash back. Was the PC as hot as they say? sounded like you needed to point a desk fan at the thing to cool it down.

        Idk, I sold the montior, yanked the gpu out and put into my AMD System 😅, with a repaste and some thermal pads gpu runs like other 3080 gpus perfectly fine.

        Keeping the rest and will turn it into a emulator pc since 11th gen has AVX-512 still. May mod the PC's for airflow I future but probably won't need to much.
