YouTube Vanced not working

Hi,

Has anyone else having a problem with YouTube vanced not working?

It will play about a minute of the video then it will just buffer continuously and you can't fast forward the video.

I downloaded the latest version of vanced from GitHub about two months ago.

I've tried all different settings to fix this issue.

Should I just give up and pay for premium?

No, you should use ReVanced

I've been getting that as well and usually just have to update when that happens. I've been using ReVanced Extended with no issues. I normally just download the one named "youtube-revanced-extended-vXX.XX.XX-all.apk" and go to Library>Settings>ReVanced Extended>Miscellaneous, then turn on "Spoof player parameter".

Happened with revanced for me.

There are reddit threads to follow, essentially just redownload and repatch

Let me know if you get revanced working.
I pay for Youtube etc - but not having the sponserblock on the app is so hideous.

NewPipe is pretty good alternative. You can install it as an APK or via. F-Droid.

It's fairly similar to Youtube App, but it automatically blocks ads, you can run in background or download any video as m4a or opus to play back later using vlc for example.

I just use the brave browser to view YouTube. Blocks the ads and I can download the videos for offline viewing.
