As the title says, after an air purifier and dehumidifier unit that does both jobs at once. I am flatting so the room has some odour.
It is really confusing as to which one is good and which one is bad. the market is so broad for these products.
I want to buy a good one rather than buy one and regret it.
The ideal budget $350 but can sacrifice for the right unit.

Damp smells are usually caused by mold, mildew, or moisture accumulating in a stuffy part of the home and that could also be cause by structural problems like plumbing leaks, a damaged roof, bad waterproofing in the toilets etc.
You might want to identify the source of the stink and possibly spend some money deep cleaning your home instead. Has that property ever been damaged by a flood, for instance?
Structural problems that cause water ingress (and therefore mold) require fixing ASAP (and I assume that's the landlord's responsibility) and you don't want to be constantly breathing in mold spores. That's bad for your lungs and health.
