  • Could get price matched via Noel Leeming/TWG with Briscoes and get additional 10% off which will reduce it down to

This one has been $375 at Bunnings and $399 at Dyson previously.
But still it is interesting that Briscoes are stocking this brand now. Could be worth keeping an eye on it for even greater discounts.

    • Yeah I thought those prices were because the model had reached EOL

  • If anyone sees discounts on the later models please let me know!

  • This for $427 delivered from Noel Leeming, or Dreame V11 for $410 Au delivered at amazon, cant make up my mind

  • Really rate this vacuum. I had an Electrolux ergo rapido prior to this (the battery life is awful on those). The Dyson v7 makes the Electrolux look like a kid's toy.

      I moved from midea lol..
Amazing how much extra fine particles it picks up.
The anti tangle brush head is so great

      • I'm still on the Midea stick and honestly, I hear you!

  • Had the V8 and thought it was crap to be honest.

why?, i use it daily for cat hair as its just the convenience for me but you still need a proper vacuum to clean the floors.

  • Hopefully not too OT:

I recently moved from a mains powered Nilfisk (which we loved but it died) to a Shark IZ102 recently. Swayed that way over the Dyson for both price and reviews, but I'm not totally sold on it and wondering if there's anything I've missed?

I've read that the Dyson V7/V8 trigger can be a pain to hold for long periods (Shark has a switch). Shark also has an anti-tangle brush head which was a selling point for the Dyson, versus some of the cheaper brands. Reviews seem to be split about which one cleans better.

Has anyone used both the Shark and Dyson?

the trigger is a pain to hold and the vacuum is not comfortable on the wrist, i got one of these trigger locks from ali which is great.

only went with the dyson since its well known and i can use my power tools battery.

I have both Shark (Terminator i think, 8yrs old) & Dyson V12. Both have there own good & bad points. But after getting v12 last year, I hardly use my shark. Even thinking of getting rid of it to make space. v12 is great for daily use. Shark is good for deep cleaning carpets.

      • How much did you pay for Shark Iz102 at the time?

        • Sorry I have shark navigator lift away. I think bought it for around $300 maybe.

      • EDIT: just read your other reply

It seems that stick vacuums are just poor at deep cleaning, and maybe that's the rub: things aren't as clean. I was hoping that a lighter, more portable stick vacuum would mean more regular vacuuming (which it has, slightly) and hence more clean (which it hasn't). Looked at the Miele C3 as someone else mentioned, maybe that's the one to go for for the weekly clean.

    • Believe it or not I got a blister on my finger from my first ever Dyson stick. Years ago. Just the novelty value of using it for every little crumb or speck of dust I saw lol.

  • My v11 is terrible as a vacuum cleaner, basically just a handy pet hair sweeper for hard floors, or light spills. Insanely overpriced for what it is. For carpets you really want something with some power like a Miele c3, which feels like it wants to suck the floor nails through the carpet.

do you have the v11 v1 or v2?
we have had the v11 v1 since release and it's still going strong in a house full of carpet, what head are you using?

  • Only $449 at the warehouse
