Good Quality/Value Non Stick Pan (s) ?

I'm looking to replace my old non stick pans which have become quite stick. There's so many to choose from and I can't really tell the difference. I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation in the $50 - $150 range.

What types of pans are you trying to replace?

Honestly, this one https://www.kmart.co.nz/product/28cm-stainless-steel-frypan-… is brilliant.

IF you can find them, they disappear from Kmart shelves very quickly. Consumer raved about them - I bought one three years ago, and only just replaced it (and even then, I could have gotten longer out of it). For $28, that's not bad.

    • In general I prefer my Cast Iron pan, (which is about 100 years old !), it's so smooth inside it's virtually non stick. BUT in saying that I also very much like and often use the K-Mart Pan you have linked to. I read about this range of pans in a news article maybe 3-4 years ago. They tested some non stick pans and gave this one the big thumbs up. I bought one and loved it. They have a really solid base which helps them NOT warp and the coating actually lasts very well. They're MUCH better value than many similar pans which can be triple that price or considerably more. I fully recommend these K-mart pans.

    • Yes - this^ I have a range of sizes - quality is superb for the price - they don't stay in stock long though.

    • I also have this pan. It’s a good pan but just a word of caution, the 28cm pan is quite heavy especially when full with food. I suggest going in-store to have a look first before you buy

These honestly can't be beaten. If any other shop sold these they'd be 3x the price.

Cast iron or just stainless steel. Teflon coatings suck.

  • I've got a range of sizes of the Circulon Pans which are sold at Stevens and have recommend these to plenty of friends who have also been happy. They go on sale semi-frequently and are currently on sale: 32cm Frying Pan or a 29cm & 23cm Frying Pan Set

      From your link: "$119.99 - SAVE $180.00"

Shows how overpriced these things often are TBH. Even at $120 for two pans they're far more expensive than the K-mart ones and as for 'save $180' that puts their 'normal' price at $300 for the set of two. OUCH.

This whole high/low pricing model is absolutely ridiculous. Most of the big retailers do this all the time now. Really silly markups of 1000 % or more for their 'normal' prices then 'sales' of often 70% which brings the product down to a more reasonable price but I have a suspicion that the markup is still HUGE. And people are indeed struggling. NO wonder.

  • The three piece set from container door is surprisingly solid.

    • Came here as I thought I'd commented on this topic previously but seems not. Agree on the Container Door pans. I got them in their last sale and they are great.

They have them for $29 again for their Boxing Day sale.

      • Delivery ruins that deal for me :(

      • Do they work in induction?

        • Clues in the product link specifications…..

          Specifications:
Body : Tri ply material (Aluminium, Stainless steel 304 & 430)
430 stainless steel bottom, Induction safe

          Handles Cast steel handles

  • This is what I got recently and I'm honestly really amazed at the quality of it:

Has a lot of great reviews. I was skeptical at first, because after-all it's Kmart. But damn, the quality is good. It just doesn't stick at all and cleaning is so easy now. I've owned lots of expensive pots and pans and they aren't as good as this set from Kmart. They're usually readily available at the St Lukes store.
