Not so good feedback on Newegg with hdd from Slickdeals US as well. No idea on this particular drive, but would stay away from them if possible.
These are very good enterprise grade server drives, 2x the mean time before failure (MTBF) rating of most consumer drives. No reason to stay away from them at all. I currently have 16 of them in a server rack.
As mentioned nothing wrong with the drive. I meant seller Newegg has got some negative feedbacks when you need some sort of customer service/returns. So it would be good to stay away if you can. Buying exos from other places is absolutely fine.
Check ozbargain feedback as well above, similar thoughts.
I bought 2 of these 20TB from Newegg a while ago to match my 2 x 18TB. Great drives arrived quickly from Newegg and no issues.
Was it packaged well?, IIRC a while back Newegg packaging was terrible
Packaging was in a way too large carboard box with bubble-wrap from memory. No space to slide around though. I always test them when they arrive anyway.
Pretty good price considering these recertified are NZD505 delivered from Server Part Deals.
