I was wondering if anyone had experience with amex platinum charge card purchase protection. Considering getting a card. Is purchase protection worth it with other benefits. If any one had claim before how was the experience .Thank you.

Purchase protection is a definite benefit. I would rate it higher than some other credit card benefits. Have claimed a couple times so far over the last few years.
I purchased a pretty pricey pair of Rayban sunglasses. Within a week I dropped them on a concrete floor and they got scratched pretty bad.
Claimed on purchase protection. They asked for proof of purchase and some photos of the damage. Was paid back promptly.
The onus is on you to remember that you have that said protection and to keep in mind the time frame (which I think is 90 days)
