Very good price for a branded smart lock. Especially because it includes a Wi-Fi bridge.
Normally $579.98 (apparently).

Do you have the link to the $219 one?
FB ad library points to this link but it now just shows a blank page

Bummer. Keypad one seems more reliable!
@hiimpengu: Just add the keypad seperately to your cart. It will update
@JMAC: Ohh I see now, thanks. I think an all-in-one unit might be better for me. At that point it would be approaching the price of other models.
@hiimpengu: $219 with Wif would be hard to find

What do you mean by this? Would love to get the keypad version for cheap
@dherby: The Keypad is a seperate "remote" unit. Just add the Yale Smart Keypad to your cart with the lock and bridge. Watch this Video from here and you will see what the keypad is: https://youtu.be/pkPMWnykjps?t=78
just add the keypad in the cart its 20 $ more its well worth it with keypad just for 20 $ more
Nice.. been wanting a smart lock for a bit, absolute no brainer at this price.
How much would it cost to install? Thanks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yRAOKVliGY This will help show you what's involved.
I installed myself, wasn't terrible. Did take a while though because I essentially had to repair the door and then drill new holes because it was a different fitment to the existing lock (1960s deadbolt)
The description page shows this notice. Any guess why they have this for this lock ? Not reliable because of absense of a physical key ?
NB: Yale recommends to use this product in an environment where there are additional entry points into the dwelling. We do not recommend to have this product installed unless there is another form of access.
I would suggest it's because, unlike some other smart locks, your statement about having no physical key is probably why. If it goes flat, you may not get in…
Precisely why i wouldn't use this for a main external door. I'm going to buy one for the middle door between home internal and garage.
The Yale assure keyless locks has two contacts in the bottom that you hold a 9v battery against to restore power, not sure if this one has same setup.
We had a lock on an internal door. When got burgled they just kicked it in that caused the wood framing around the lock to break.
Just consider what the weakest point is or the lock might be of no value.
I'm just tired of using keys ;)
Buy agree if someone wants to break in they will get in.
Can you make it so the inside handle is always unlocked?
This video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkPMWnykjps seems to indicate this is normal behaviour unless you put the unit in dead bolt mode.
Anyone else having issues adding to cart? It says added but when you go to the cart it is empty? Tried on desktop and phone.
No issues right now.
Should this be given a black Friday tag?
Updated
Dammit I waited too long to order and someone bought all the keypads
Anyone else manage to buy this today? It doesn’t seem to do anything once I submit my card details.
Pretty decent, saw on fb ad yesterday. Bought the one with the keypad (normally $99 sold separately) for $219.
If you want to try your luck, go to Bunnings and try price match the one without keypad for $169.15 . But personally I'd go get the one with the keypad in case you didn't want to bring phone out for a walk/run :)
