  • I getting it for US$178.5 (~ NZ$296.5). Probably coins. Getting US$5.42 discounts in coins.

  • Has anyone had experience with warranties when buying these off aliexpress?

I think you can just chalk that down to the risk you take when ordering from aliexpress. You certainly aren't protected by our consumer law. For what it's worth I've ordered dozens of them and had no issues yet. Return postage would probably be on you if there was an issue and you wanted to return something. You just make the gamble, do I want to save $x dollars or do I want a NZ warranty. If you want the warranty you would have to buy locally. Unlikely that the whole system you buy is going to be bad. Maybe a single camera or the base would have an issue. So you just replace that part. Everything is available separately so it's not like you write off the whole system if there was a problem somewhere.

Again, this is sold by official eufy store so no harm asking your concern and see if you want to gamble.

Warranty is mostly pointless when it comes to tech gadgets or electronics in general. Haven't needed to claim warranty at all and haven't even purchased extended warranty for over 20 years. I've spent over $36000 in the last 2 years on electronic stuff. Some 2nd hand, some from Aliexpress/Temu/eBay/Amazon. Never needed warranty. Cameras like this don't just break for no reason, unless you botch the firmware upgrade somehow and brick it. Eufy is a good brand.
