Is it just me, or does everything on that site look 10-50% overpriced, even after the discount?

    • +2

Yeah, airpoints are typically best used on flights or the gift vouchers they have available (macpac, mitre10 etc)

      • +5

Yes. Also a tip if booking flights for mutiple people you can pay for one person using airpoints and the rest using credit card and there is no credit card fees.

100% this. Maybe if you had some Airpoints dollars you are unable to use for flights buying from this store might make sense.

Otherwise on most items it's a total rip and you should save your dollars for flights. (Which are also generally a total rip as well but this is AirNz we are talking so no surprise there)

    • Yep. Much better off getting the Mitre10 gift cards. Some products on the Airpoints store are also at Mitre10.

Karcher K3 Power Control water blaster for example:
      445.47 airpoints with 10% discount @ Airpoints store - https://www.airpointsstore.co.nz/deals/KARK3PCTRLDECK/Karche…
      $369 full price @ Mitre10 - https://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/k3-power-control-deck-kit/p/3…

There is also the K3 HR for $199, what a discounted product should look like - https://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/k3-hr-electric-water-blaster/…

      • No discount on M10 gift cards :(

    • Yeah, most things are. Always check the prices outside the points store. I've found most (all?) Apple products they list are 1:1 with Apple's prices.

  • Nuna products are generally not on sale, currently offering 10% off airpoint store. Not sure if its the inflated price.
