Only just got a Switch and Nintendo sales seem very rare, especially on exclusives.

Mate get the physical, you can never resell a digital game.
Yeah yeah, blah blah, the cartridge doesn't hold all the game. I can still resell the cartridge.

I'll be damned if Il'l be jumping on the digital ship. Never bought a digital switch game ever and have no intentions.

    • Do you finish the game and then sell? I've had BOTW since release and I'm reluctant to sell as sometimes I play it again (not much anymore since I play TOTK now)

      • I rarely sell, but occasionally I do, and I can get some money back. In fact, some games go up in price if there is a limited print run, etc. I wouldn't expect that from a Zelda release as there are so many copies, but it should hold some value along with Mario titles.

    • Switch is the only console physical is still really useful. Much more runs off the cartridge and very little gets copied to the local storage. It's only updates and patches that are relatively small for nintendo titles in the grand scheme of things. It's the main reason that even though there's only 32gb onboard storage it's actually enough for most people who buy physical games. Really can't say the same for Xbox or PlayStation where the 512gb in the series s barely hold 3 games.

      • I agree that the Microsoft and Sony consoles are practically downloads but still worth buying over digital, at least for me.

        • I ended up with a one s digital then a series s that won't take disks so don't have the choice to go physical. But it's pretty much a gamepass box and I'm willing to forego discs considering I spent:

          $200 on the one s
          $400 on the series s
$150 on gamepass 4 years ago
Have 3 more years of gamepass on my account paid for using rewards
Have enough rewards for 300 more days of gamepass and counting

That's 7+ years of most of my gaming wants for the price of one game a year, really can't complain about it being digital only at that price.

          • @Everettpsycho: Yea same on PS Plus deluxe, back catalogue alone will be years of gaming (for someone that had a 15 year hiatus from console gaming)

    • I'm always worried about losing the tiny $50+ cards, especially as my kids play the games too

But a lot of these games have a pretty high resale value so can definitely see the appeal there

I only just got the physical edition then saw this. Rather get digital any day, doubt I'd resell it.

PS network is much more geared to digital value games so takes some adjusting to Nintendo
