Just came across this which seems like an interesting and different idea.
From what I can gather, you can trade-in (sell) your old tech which includes mobile phones, tablets, mac & surface laptops, smart watches, gaming consoles and airpods in exchange for a JB Hi-Fi gift card.
Sounds pretty convenient for those who dislike the hassle of selling their second hand goods

$146 for s10+
I think its only selected items (you can't trade in just anything), but still, good to have the option.
Please correct me if I am wrong though!
Yep if you click through to get a quote it shows the eligible items
hmm.. they offer me $114 for the 500Gb PS4, not too bad considering the sale price on trademe.
Now, convincing the wife to allow me to get PS5. .. .
Just checked my old microsoft surface pro 3/128gb which I am planning to sell. It's in pretty good condition and working except for few scratches on the back. I get $59 only for it which is not great.
That would be about nine years old to be fair (I bought one in or around Jun 2014), and very low storage even at the time.
Don't think I would pay $59 for one :-)
lol.
tried trading glaxy watch active 2 $0 lol
$69 for my old xbox.
Very low for that.
My pixel 7 about $466
Are you selling pixel 7
No but always curious about tradeins.
Want 2-3 more years out of it
TIC only does logistics, the real company behind it is https://www.renewablemobile.com.au/
The issue is you will have to leave your credit card info with Renewable Mobile. Although it's nice they will email you your JB gift card straight away but once you sent your item to them and they are not happy with the condition they might charge whatever amount they think they over paid you to your credit card.
Initially I thought this is a JB HIFI walk in/trade in service but this is far from ideal. I would hold on to the credit until they've checked your item an dhappy with what they paid you.
$95 for my 6 year-old Huawei I've been meaning to throw on Trade Me is pretty good
It's offering me $134 for an old Samsung S10, not too bad
