Jeez, not so loud. I've not had my coffee yet.
Farmer Brown Cage Free Barn Eggs Grade 6 12 Pack $4.99 PNS Royal Oak if you'd rather that (via price-match)
Any luck with online price matches? Just tried and they told me to go in-store for price match with grocers
That change happened a few months back.
They won't match any grocery item online. It has to be done in-store.
Here's their current price match policy which is updated frequently, usually by adding more exclusions or restrictions.
Also 2 for $10 at PNS Wairau Valley
Happily caged :)
Just a head up the APP show in stock but it's not! I pop in stock to grab some at 11am and it's all gone, so I just pricematch against pns for the cage free one from Wakrak's link. Thanks Wakrak!
My local Auckland store had another pallet of eggs for sale. This was at 8am, not sure if there is anymore now
Lincoln Road says in stock now (didn't check earlier) but I wasn't surprised there were none left about 15 minutes ago. And I think I just mostly avoided any after school visitors. (Maybe not some parents heading to school.) Still lots of cage-free but didn't bother to price match as I might try my lack at the end of the week instead. I think they might have had at least 4 boxes of cartons as there were that many empties on the shelf. Did look around the entrance and they had one of the other one day sale items but notnthis but could be removed if empty and I didn't ask staff.
Saw an advert for this on the NZ Herald so suspect it's well advertised outside here too.
Still claims stock but still none about an hour before closing. Actually they only have size 7 cage free now. Westgate was similar, I sort of expect all stores in Auckland probably have no more of the $5 at closing whatever stock says. I know I've seen them out of stock before but wonder how well they keep their stock status updated. I mean I assume they update them with the new numbers they receive but if they're just adding new stock and not checking if existing matches what their system says then it may continually be wrong. Could also be staff, although would have thought given the effect on online stock status that buying them early on is less likely to get you in trouble than hiding them in the staff room until closing to buy them.
Mine was all sold out and there were a lot of people enquiring about them. I asked for a raincheck but they refused because they said that it was a one day sale only and they can't offer rainchecks when it is a one day sale. However I understand that when stores run these sorts of promos they need to have an adequate amount of stock , otherwise you can ask for a raincheck, and it didn't say 'no rainchecks' on the promo. However they offered to instead honour that price on their size 7 eggs, which was a better option.
