Pak n save ones are fresh too which I guess doesn't really matter if you're stocking up and you're just going to chuck it in the freezer.
On that note, Countdown Whole NZ Lamb Leg Bone In Grass Fed will be $8.90/kg next week.

@bigcheese: According to Pet Keen, in 2020, the South Island had 13,579 sheep while the North Island had 12,450 sheep . Please note that these numbers are estimates and may not be completely accurate.
@bigcheese: It is South Island too
@zbrakk: Didn't see that the other day when I looked.
Different SKU for the South to the one Wakrak posted for the North.

If you're gonna keep it in the freezer you're better off buying these ones since they are blast frozen. Home freezers freeze so slowly it has an impact on the quality of the meat.
Need to move to the UK and buy it for 10 cents. 🤣
They conveniently didn't mention the regular price was around $60 nzd for the lamb leg and the fact it was past date which is why it was reduced so much….
just brought nw deal before this
I got this only to find out PNS has done it for a while too.
Kilbirnie PnS didn't have any left. CD Newtown has two frozen non barcoded ones left (quite a faff for them to ring it thru the till)
I think whole ribeye/scotch fillets are $19.99/kg too. Need to go check them out tomorrow.
Yeah. I bought one today. ~$76 each.
Where was this? Countdown?
By the way I'm not associated with Countdown.
I bought my one from Eastgate Countdown in Christchurch.
Was on the news tonight just now ;)
What proportion of a lamb leg is bone?
$8.99/kg at quite a few PNS stores.
