I have been watching these for a while, and this is the cheapest I have seen it. A 2nd hand one sold on Trade Me a few weeks ago for $186 plus postage.

Sold through Amazon AU, but fulfilled through UK. Took 9 days to arrive for me.

Note that it shows as NZD 163.49 on product page, but goes to approx $171 during checkout for some reason.

The difference is because the price on the product page has the 10% Aus GST rate. When you go to checkout it's the NZ 15% GST rate.

    • Thanks, I thought it must have been something to do GST, but hadn't thought about the diff between Aussie and NZ rates

      • Amazon are extra confusing because they show NZ GST for items from Amazon AU or third party sellers on the item page if it's set to ship to NZ. But still show AU GST if it's Amazon global store/some other Amazon who's selling it. They do say this on the page but it's easy to miss or not realise the implications

      • 163.49÷1.10×1.15=170.92

Basically they remove the Australian GST and then add the NZ GST

  • Can you play Battle Isle on this, used to love that game!

All these mini consoles have pretty much the same hardware inside and can be easily hacked to emulate the other systems. So it really just comes down to what "shell" you want your retro system to have.

If they ever release a N64 or PS2 mini I would be interested since that will likely require much beefier hardware.

Oh the nostalgia, wouldn't that be lovely.. I still have a brand new ps1 mini

      • You should definitely hack that -even if you don't plan to add any extra games to it you can enable a high res mode which makes everything look alot better.

I don't understand why it wasn't enabled by default.
