There are two competing airlines at present with sales on to London.
Air China is a 3-star airline, but with checked luggage (2x23kg), while China Southern is 4-star (same luggage etc, just a better service). They go via China to Europe.
Note that you can probably bring the price down further by adding a return flight to Aus to one of the sale fares from SYD/MEL(ozbargain.com.au).
